Huh? I don't understand the difference here.
Devs are transcendent over the 4D cosmology as it's merely a game they made. The god within the cosmology traps one of them in it, converting them into something that will fit into the 4D cosmology.
How is it not hdm?
Because it neither discussed nor talks about mathematical dimension.
There are 2 common qualitative superiority.
One is by dimensional superiority
While the other is about reality heirarchy.
Your example falls on heirarchy which is about moving up and down a much more real reality which is a reality fiction transcendence.
This is often equalized into dimensional tierring due but they are 2 distinct things.
Dimensional superiority is about being a much more complex structure in terms of plane and its dimensional geometry and basically higher dimension in terms of size treats anything with lower dimension as them as infintesimal but both are basically real and not fiction. Just that their difference in size is well infinite because the lack of the extra dimension of the lower dimensional entity makes him zero in comparison
In simpler terms. 4D is D1xD2xD3xD4. And 3D is D1xD2xD3. Since 3D has no D4 it is either treated as 0 or null making the result basically undefined or zero in comparison to 4D entity
Now to illustrate difference
Reality fiction transcendence is treating lower reality as fiction.
And because they are fiction you are real. They are basically nothing or 0 to you. But because this is heavy into metafictional layers rather than the mathematical higher dimension it rather uses
composite heirarchy.
Being able to ascend or descend between these heirarchy or layers or in layman terms descending from reality to fiction or ascending from fiction to reality is not Higher dimensional manipulation. There are no mathematical shennanigans going on. Something just becomes less real or more real. (Although it does grants Higher dimensional Existence).
There is a reason why most characters from series that uses ascension to higher realms or higher reality or from fiction to reality do not have Dimensional manipulation.
