God of War: Ragnarok Discussion Thread

https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/gen-discussion-1/the-definitive-god-of-war-blog-2285693/ What do you guys think of this thread of God of War scaling? It seems better than the scaling of a typical CV user "Kratos mountain level hurr durr" but what do you guys think? He seems to scale the Norse mythology above 2-C.
Well, while technically being infinitely larger than space-time continuums would in theory make you 2-A, the standards on this site are kind of whack. And before anyone brings up Kingdom Hearts, one verse having it doesn't mean the other verses will if they follow the same principle, their cosmology could just be built different.

Ah. Do you think Norse mythology will ever get upgraded to 2-A within the future?

I honestly don't think so. Ragnarok is the last game in the Norse duology.

Still, good to know that we at least get solid 2-C.
Yeah, a 2-C isn't bad.

Also, nice blast into the past with this CV post.

which is ironic since kratos was kind of worried about the norns in norse, but i guess he never knew he resisted the sisters in the first place, or didn't believe in them, it is kinda funny lol

Greek Sisters royally underestimated Kratos's will to defy death and exact vengeance, it was so powerful that even cutting his Thread of Fate didn't do jackshit to him, whereas normally it'd be instant game over for anyone else (They'd be crippled in immense pain and then would die right after in excruciating pain). Kratos however, doesn't feel a damn thing and just marches on as if nothing ever happened, and then promptly folds the Sisters.

surprised that he wasn't ever the god of rage and hatred, like it is so fittingly sad, i don't think that it was ever an god of rage of something, which considering kratos as a character is funny in a very morbid way
the guy is so mad, broken, practically going mad of pure hate and sadness that he defied fate itself, defied the gods, primordials, titans and everything else, and despite all of that he was just incredibly sad on the inside and wanting to destroy himself, basically with ptsd, i never stoped to think just a how sad kratos's story is, i am almost tearing just from writing this

And yet, according to comicvine, he's only mountain level.

Do you have the chapter where they cut his thread of fate, if you don't mind?

Why do people on YouTube think Kratos is outerversal? I can see 2-A, even 1-C with enough wank, but definitely not outerversal.

dude, you have no idea, people on youtube or quora can say that ANYTHING outversal to boundless, bringing up neoplatonism, taking the term dimension as literal spatiotemporal ones, using jungyan arquetypes zastand/might of ghebura of the sonic comunity make a party out of it to make sonic the strongest in fiction, no kidding and whatever else

A misunderstanding concepts are 1A by default
And well sometimes fake author stataments that people don't know they are fake

GOW2 Novel Chapter 46

“Have you cut his thread too soon? That is all right, though, there is still tension,” Clotho said, reaching out to pluck at a black thread. She rested her hand on the thread, then slowly stroked it before turning to her sisters. “What have you done? This is outrageous! Cut the thread now, Lahkesis. Now!”

“Note how his thread intertwines with so many of the Titans,” Lahkesis said. “Gaia mentors him and has allowed him to come as far as he has.”

“You and Atropos are responsible, meddling individually. Cut the thread now!” Clotho plucked it again, but the vibrations died out quickly. Too quickly. Such a tweak should have crippled Kratos. It didn’t.

“I should face him,” Lahkesis said. “There is more to Kratos than we know.”

“No!” Both Atropos and Clotho cried out in unison at such a heretical thought.

“The Ghost of Sparta is Gaia’s pawn, but there is more to him. He is developing a will not controlled by our determination of his fate.”

Alright, thank you.

The Thor Fight was great, but could have been better.

Thor has a lot of magical equipment, just like Kratos.

Would have been cool if he had his gauntlets, that make him stronger.

Or Summoning his goats to attack you.

Being able to clash weapons in game, and him using his staff (a weapon he rarely uses in Norse mythology)

And being able to change the terrain of the battle by flying or flying you up into the clouds for an aerial battle.

@KLOL506 Since you said that most low level enemies within the novels get one-shotted, how was the Deimos fight? Did Kratos beat him easily, or was it similar to Ghost of Sparta where he lost (though was severely holding back)

and yet the normal demi god could content with two gods just because of rage, almost worst of getting a profile of its own as an unique power because my god, does rage do stuff in this series
