9-B+ Tournament 2022 Round 1, match 4 (Ralsei vs Dipper Pines) (7/0/0)

Even though Dipper is stronger along with having Small Building durability, Jevil’s attacks harm the soul and not just the body, so he can pretty much bypass Dipper’s durability.

Jevil usually starts by shooting 5 clovers before proceeding to teleport and firing another set of clovers 10 times. Afterwards, he does omnidirectional spade attacks. How good is Dipper in dodging danmaku, and what does he start with?

Dipper would start with attacking him, as he did to the Multi-Bear, but if these attack ignore durability and are danmaku, pretty sure Dipper has no viable wincon here

🗿this is what happens when you put a soul attacking dude in a tournament like this. Hopefully Ellie would stand a chance

I think Jevil should be banned from tourney for basically stomping most of the bracket combatants

I still think Black Noir would be a closer matchup though since Dipper just starts with attacking physically and Ral seems to use soul energy attacks

And as I said, I insist you switch him to Ralsei because he has a low AP value. Plus, anyone with high skill should be able to beat him.

If ralsei is accepted as a replacement I think Dipper still has a good chance

First to talk about Skill yeah Dipper is a pretty skilled fighter given he was able to defeat the multibear and was trained well by them

Second Dipper holds a 16.6356995766 times AP advantage so if he gets in range he could Oneshot Ralsei which I can see happening given this fight with the multibear

He also has things such as the memory gun to screw with Ralsei's mind which I feel like would be enough to let dipper win

If Ralsei doesn't have Danmaku, then what does he starts with? Dipper is pretty skilled in combat for passing all the trials of the Manotaurs, and even managed to overpower the Multibear, so he's no slouch in cqc

Due to his pacifistic nature, he usually starts dodging until his opponent becomes tired to which he pacifies them to sleep to incapacitate them. Otherwise, attacking would be a second resort he can’t tire him out. Also, in case he gets damaged, he can heal up his health by a decent amount.

This would give Dipper time to also use the memory gun to erase some of Ralsei's memories, especially if he doesn't attack right away, so Dipper do have some advantages

Problem is, it would be difficult to hit Ralsei since he’s had experience dodging danmaku on a regular basis in battles. As such, he would have the time to be able to try to kindly convince Dipper to eventually give up and become friends. Otherwise, he would tire him out to put him to sleep and warrant incapacitation.

Since it hasn't been mentioned, Ralsei attacks using a prehensile scarf. However, it isn't necessarily in-character for him to attack, so he instead uses singing and chants to tire an opponent. When an opponent is tired, Ralsei then casts Pacify, a spell that "ends the battle peacefully" in canon, which likely translates to putting the enemy to sleep.

And of course he can heal himself via Heal Prayer.

So it's basically a stamina match, either Ralsei manages to avoid being shot until Dipper tires out, or the latter haxguns him down at some point, right?

Dipper have enough stamina to last about a week with basically no sleep, and was able to fight Mabel for a short while as Bipper even though he didn't got sleep in "Sock Opera"

Well, this is a pretty obvious match for Ralsei. Let me remind you that this is a hax,
"Can hit targets with melee attacks even if they're far away".
This essentially means that, if Dipper is in range (which is several meters IIRC), Ralsei can tap the air and the attack will happen on Dipper. This means Ralsei can chip away Dipper's health and stamina, while keeping a distance to dodge, and having heal to recover his own stamina in case Dipper is too difficult.

It seems far, FAR more likely for Ralsei to win here.

Yeah I'll vote Ralsei too. Dipper is stronger, yes, but that healing alongside his soul hax stuff will give Ralsei the edge here
