I don't really remember Escanor having many skill feats. He usually just swags on his enemies, and when he doesn't, he swings Rhitta around, punches the enemy a lot, or uses his suns. I believe he heavily upscales from the 4.3 gigaton feat though.

Escanor grows stronger as time reaches noon, and since this is Mid-Morning, he's only going to get stronger as the fight progresses. If Thor can't put him down when the time is close to noon, then Escanor probably one-shots.

Escanor doesn't need skill feats, he just needs his chadness.

I'm assuming you're asking because Thor might outskill him?

Yep. Thor starts off relative to Escanor in stats but he has the skill to make half a dozen of the best martial artists on earth look like complete noobs with his bare hands, being even more skilled with Mjolnir and thus Stormbreaker. He also has a thousand or so years of experience spent fighting alien monsters of all kinds including Surtur who spams fire as much as Escanor but is comparable to Thor in both skill as well as stats. Only took Thor a few minutes to beat him up.

I don’t think the fight will last long enough for Sunshine to amp Escanor enough to make up for the disparity in skill.

As far as I remember (and I'm probably wrong since I've only watched the NNT anime), Escanor's strength very rapidly increases when it approaches noon. Off the top of my head, Merlin, after detecting Escanor, was commenting on how his Power Level was quickly rising - I believe going up by thousands per statement she made. The timeframe for this was only a few seconds, so take that as you will.

But unless the fight lasts long enough for Escanor to just one-shot, Thor FRA.

Was that the Season 2 scene where they were going to find him while he bullied Galand and Melascula, right?

Thor kinda just … negs the Shield Agents almost instantly and when he tries to kick one while they are down, he gets jumped from behind, pulled back, then negs that one too 😭 Even starting from when an agent physically stronger than him has him in a chokehold, it takes him 20 seconds to lay him out flat.

Gonna wait for more SDS guys to weigh in but Imma vote Thor if they don’t have anything to counter the skill gap.

The justification is completely different

If it is something stated in the movie it is okay, otherwise I highly doubt it can be used here

It's not stated in the movie, it's quite literally shown to us. I don't exactly remember the context (it's literally been years since I've watched Infinity War), but Thor basically just went out and withstood the energy and heat of a neutron star so he could make Stormbreaker.

The justification is completely different
Because the feat hadn’t happened to the version that tab is for? The Neutron Star hitting him with stuff he already has resistances for doesn’t mean he is required to have them added to the justification when the tab the feat happens to already says “all previous abilities”
If it is something stated in the movie it is okay, otherwise I highly doubt it can be used here
We don’t need the movie to state the temperature to us or else we’d need SDS to tell us the melting temp of steel, durability of rock etc. If the stuff exists irl, we assume it functions the same in the media unless stated or shown otherwise.

I count 2 votes for Thor from AnonymousBlank and thetechmaster36.

Escanor immensly above 4.3 gigatons,
Gloxinia already state that weaker night mode escanor is comparable to estarossa, while his mid day far away above those. Estarossa doesn't really damage him unless escanor got damage by himself with estarossa fullcounter which reversed back physical attack several time

Pretty sure Estarossa hit Escanor and caused blood to fly from his mouth in addition to a bunch of bruises. A punch brought him to his knees but Estarossa was fine seconds after, then he took a Cruel Sun to the face followed up with Pride Flare and was still in fighting condition despite each attack being stronger than the last. Escanor may upscale but he isn’t ridiculously stronger than Estarossa.

Context-twisting much? Escanor was amped by the pseudo-sun and the power stored up by Rhitta in that scene. Put 2 and 2 together, and he gains a power that rivals Estarossa according to Gloxinia. His Mid-Morning state is not "far [and] away above" that moment. Is he stronger? Probably, yeah.

Isn't it just twice the strength? Even Estarossa's profile says that it's double the strength, not several times. But AnonymousBlank is correct; Estarossa could slightly harm Escanor a few times even without the power of Full Counter.

I think he was referring to Estarossa using FC a few times on Escanor rather than amping the reflected attack several times over. Makes more sense to me given it was used 2 or 3 times iirc.

What are the wincons for Thor?
How skilled is he?

For Escanor:
He grows gradually more durable, stronger and faster. When he was reaching noon, he cut estarossa fast enough that estarossa didn't notice he was cut.

He would stall Thor but Thor wouldn't immediately know why. Escanor gets a taste of Thor's strenght etc and then overpowers him. If succesfull, Thor loses because he would get surprised by the physical boost Escanor has.

Thor fought some of the best trained men on Earth, 1v1 and 1v2, and beat each of them in seconds. Even someone bigger, stronger and heavier than him got beat in 20 secs despite starting off the fight with Thor in a chokehold.

If these two are relative at the start, Thor kills Escanor pretty damn fast.
