Izuku Midoriya Vs Raiden

Final Key Midoriya (Starts as a low 7-B and can go to 7-B)

High 7-C raiden

The MGS supporters will need to come through on this one. Because Deku at 45% is literally 30 times stronger than Raiden. A single casual hit is game over.

I'm missing something big here.

Durability negation
That is if Raiden can get a good hit in at all. And with Float, airforce, danger sense, and blackwhip keeping Raiden at a distance, good luck with that.

Deku's goto in this key is BlackWhip restrain. But with the massive AP difference, he could literally squish Raiden like a bug by accident.

Man giving deku like, eight other quirks was kind of the worst possible thing that could have been done

Not because it absolutely destroys the point of his character but because it makes vs debates with him a pain

Because he'll be moving in slow motion as soon as Blade Mode starts. He won't even have the time to get airborne.
Does he lead with that? Because Deku opens with Float. It won't matter if he's already in the air.

You guys are forgetting the AP differential would literally allow Deku to kill Raiden by accident.

Tbf, it was stated that Armstrong can literally kill Raiden in One Hit, so it wouldn't be the first time he's fought something like that. Blade Mode though is gonna be a real bitch to deal with for Deku here.

I'm voting inconclusive, as I can see this going either way. Deku could accidentally kill him with the shockwave from a missed punch, while Raiden could lop off his head, should he act quickly enough.

I mean.

Raiden dies immediately from Deku moving a limb in his general direction since the AoE would splatter him.

This isn’t even a debate about Deku’s quirks, Raiden’s skill or anything. This is literally just “does Deku kill Raiden before Raiden kills him” and vice versa.

What’s the range of Raiden’s sword since that matters I suppose

Blade Mode is thought based and he starts with it. Deku's not going to have a chance to do that when he's standing still from Raiden's perspective.

So what’s the point of this thread if he just amps and one shots while ignoring durability? Deku could be 4-A and it doesn’t matter cause he gets one shot and blitzed.

Just seems like another quick draw to me.

Deku could win just be throwing a punch vaguely in Raiden's direction. He just losses the quick draw.

It's still a fair match by the established standard. If Raiden does anything else, he likely loses and dies because of the AP gap. He just does what he needs to to win.

For an example of this trend that's still on the profiles, see Luke Skywalker vs Kirby.

I disagree on so many levels for a match like this being ok because “well the other side could win if we forced the opponent to not do that.” It just sounds like blitz one shot central where he doesn’t lose ever in speed equal unless he’s fighting something that literally stomps him with passive hax. You might as well just put Raiden against any tangible being and say the fight is fair cause they can possibly one shot him too if we deliberately nerf him.

The win condition for anyone in this scenario is literally “if we nerfed Raiden’s intelligence and made him out of character, they could beat him, but that would be against rules, so we can’t do that, but we could, so the fight is fair.”

But I won’t be arguing or crting that, seems too troublesome and annoying. If that’s wiki standards for “fair” then so be it.

Just read that Kirby thread, and apparently Luke’s wins, due to thought based hax immediately one shotting his opponents with them having absolutely no way to counter it, were wiped. Because, by your words in that thread, they counted as stomps.

Why is that different here? Raiden auto-uses thought based hax and blitzes while negging durability.

That was back then. This is now. The match has sense been readded.
So why haven’t ALL of his matches been added back? As Schnee noted, more than one of his matches were removed. Why aren’t they back? And why would we just disregard arguments from the past? Is there a thread somewhere that declares matches like this fair?

I don't have links to CRTs from years ago just loitering in my back pocket dude. If you want to CRT this, be my guest, but this isn't the place.

Now, to answer your question, no one got to it and everyone just forgot. I don't even remember what the matches were or if they're still fair nowadays.

Like I said, I’m not going to make a CRT on this, seems like a hassle and annoying. If Wiki deems it ok, you guys got it.

Just don’t be upset when someone spams 45 Raiden matches against people several tiers higher than him and he wins all of them with no effort because of the exact conditions outlined in this fight, where the only win condition for the opposition is outside interference by the people making the fight.

I also find it strange that matches such as this are considered fair, yet matches where one opponent simply counters the abilities of the other and wins with intelligence and skill is considered a stomp.
