Elementals Go Type 9

Its a weird area. Because their immortality is also tied to their homeplane. Overall though I agree with the upgrade, since you need to slay them twice to permanently kill them to my understanding. Same with most Immortals and Gods without negation.

Uhhhhhhh this leaves Fire Bats in a weirder spot then since even when they die in the Plane of Fire they resurrect and you need to either soak them (Which then has 75% null chance) or use various spells to perm kill but I assume that just means they keep their type 4 immortality
Anyways would it be okay to start editing this pages then?
 
Yeah its fine. You got universal agreements and two mod weigh ins.
 
Btw anyone minds if I change Fire Bat's stamina rating to Infinite and giving type 3 self sustance?

Uhhh, maybe I didn't read this well enough, but...
"Assume further that creatures which can be harmed only by weapons of a special metal (silver, cold iron, etc.) gain this relative invulnerability from having a portion of existence in either the positive or negative material plane at the same time they exist partially in the prime. Therefore, those creatures which can be struck only with +1 or greater magical weapons exist wolly and simultaneously in two planes (one of which is, of course, the Prime Material). So creatures which require attack of a +2 or better magic weapon then exist in three planes simeultaneously, and so on."

Going by the logic present, wouldn't this mean that Elementals, which require 2 planes to hit, exist on THREE Planes, not two?

Also, what business, does, say, a Fire Elemental have being even partially in some place like The Positive Energy Plane? Isn't it just something that went to the Prime Material Plane, but was born of the Elemental Plane of Fire?
Why is part of it in a plane of pure positive energy?
& can this mean it's both in The Positive or Negative Material Plane?

They'd exist on 2 because if you try hittng them from say the Plane of Fire then their existence shifts to the other planes it's on, it's always shifting between those 2 rather then being in the current one plus those 2 (So if it's in the Prime then it shifts between it and the Plane of Fire while it shifts in another place with the Plane of Fire and what ever plane it's on) or at least that's how I understand it; The Prime example is more so the Prime being unique which often happens in D&D

What's the problem here?
It has the ability in canon so it somehow did this, plus what's the problem with it being in a realm of positive energy?

Technically speaking the positive energy plane is what gives everything life and active energy. Living beings being connected to it and healed from it is consistent.

Yeah, but the scan seems to say they're SIMEULTANEOUSLY on however many planes they exist on plus one.
It even explicitly says:
"So creatures which require attack of a +2 or better magic weapon then exist in three planes simeultaneously, and so on."
& Elementals need +2 weapons to hit?

Thus, aren't Elementals on THREE Planes?
Neither of those scans mentions them shifting between only 2, & the second scan, which does comment on their... "planar plural-positioning" nature seems to say it's on multiple planes at once, not going back & forth between two.
Where does them shifting between 2 planes come from, & why use it in combatination with this seemingly contradictory statement?

I have no problem with it, I just assumed beings not native to such planes do not naturally exist there, & that something that's a pure embodiment of an element would not naturally occur on planes of unrelated elements.
So it confuses & surprises me that, say, a Fire Elemental (Be it Fire of a chemical reaction or magical nature.) would naturally occur on a Plane seemingly full practically exclusively, of Raw, Infinite life force energy.
Admittedly, argument from incredulity. I'm just surprised this is the case.

Are the Positive Material Plane & the Plane of Positive Energy the same place?

They mention 3 because of the Prime, they're not native to the Prime so their existence is tripled in it
It's like how Devils respawn in the Nine Hells due to not being from the Prime, I suppose it can edited to say 3 planes if nobody minds

So shouldn't that be clarified? As is, the OP says that they exist on 2 planes, but if that's what goes onto the profiles, wouldn't it be inaccurate?
In a given match, they'd be in the "Plane" of the match (Rather than the Prime Material. If they're also on the Prime, that's 4 at once if the match location is counted.), & the other 2 planes, so 3 total, right?

If all living things are connected then that's everything, from humans, animals, demi-humans, elementals & other monsters, right?

Even the undeniably mundane like the farmer who spent every day of his life living ordinarily as a farmer, even such a person as he would be "connected" to The Positive Energy Plane, since he's a living being, isn't he?
& being connected can mean stuff like "You know if it's in danger" or "You know where to go to go towards it" & a bunch of other stuff that doesn't necessarily you mean exist there.
Hence, I asked what I did in the segment of my post that you responded to with "What?", to attempt to clarify if indeed, creatures that require +1 or greater weaponry ("+ weaponry" as I called it there.), do indeed, exist in ways/a way that make them more connected to The Positive Material Plane than other beings.

There was a 3e story arc where a dragon consumed souls of people connected to the Positive Energy Plane. The people were still born or reborn, but lacked souls. Wizards and stuff also noted what was happening or sensed what was happening.

While not the best indicator of what you're asking for, it does show that things can be connected to multiple planes at once.

Undead for example have a constant connection to the Negative Energy Plane and enough in one area can open a portal to that plane.

Everything connected to it in the sense that it gives life to everything that isn’t undead
Also again I don’t get what you’re complaining about, they have the ability to not get hit by anything less then a +2 weapon and the farmer doesn’t, and as the scan explains that’s because of it existing in other places
Heck stuff like Doom Sphere are ghost and also have the same ability so

So, Elemental Profiles will be edited to say they exist on 3 Planes, then, given that that seems to be what the scan says is the case?

That is to say: It was more an attempt to clarify something I was confused about, more than it was being meant as any sort of complaint.
 
I followed the logic of two planes but idrc if we assume they exist on three given they can head to the Prime easily enough.
