Howdy there, I'm currently in talks with other knowledgeable members on the possibility of having the characters of our verse be listed as composite versions but I wasn't sure what we'd need to do for that if the end result is us agreeing to the change. So I was wondering if you knew what we'd need to do in order to make said change? The characters were kinda already treated as composites to begin with, but a user has voiced complaints several times over the 'canon' of the series and demanding a lot of things in order to validate individual sources despite the franchise existing largely in an episodic light and having quite a few problems in place that make it virtually impossible to properly quantify.

Howdy, I've been having an issue with the verse that I've been trying to revise and the state of 'canon'. Me and the knowledgeable members agree that if the company itself made/approved of the media that it counts as being viable primary canon (the profiles in question use the animated versions of them, with the original author has little to nothing to do with them) but a user has been highly against this line of thinking and has repeatedly been asking for things like out of universe statements or examples in-universe that support each and every different form of media used for revisions. Normally it wouldn't be a problem, but due to the franchise being massively episodic in nature for a good 40 years and only the last 10 or so years having any semblance of a overarching story (which also just contradicts itself making it even harder to find such specific common lines and is inconsistent with being episodic or not) it's practically impossible to meet such demands and results in a constant back and forth between me and said user.

My main question is "how do I handle it and/or resolve the problem" since I am honestly losing a lot of motivation to revise the series if I'm just going to be constantly met with disagreements just because the franchise decides it want's to composite itself instead of following a more standard definition of canon that we use
