About Speed Equalized

I made a thread about this a few days ago as well.

Time Manipulation may be a separate ability but it still goes against speed equalization because you are slowing down your opponent even though speed being equal was supposed to be fair.

Just to be clear, Attack Speed refers to a specific attack or technique that is vastly faster in movement than the person's normal combat speed and what they themselves could react to. For example, Christopher Valzelide's Gamma Ray Keuranos is a lightspeed attack due to being a weaponised electromagnetic ray, but he himself only has supersonic - massively hypersonic combat speed. Or anyone in the SP verse with the Sceptre of Ancients, which shoots sub-relativistic lightning, but everyone else in the series is only around peak human speed. It does not refer to how fast the person can punch, slash, dodge, block etc in combat. That would be combat speed.

Attack speed being equalised is stupid, because it means the opponent can literally just backpedal out of the range of any projectile attacks.

At the same time though, if you leave the attack speed at the lower value, and equalise speed to the higher value, you get people FTL stepping out of the way of subsonic bullets. If you do it the other way around, you get people who could normally dodge light getting offed by lightning. The second is preferable to the first though.

There are a ton of problems with equalising speed, but it is better we do that, otherwise 90% of matches would be speed blitzes.

So is normal speed being equalized

because a character which is normally MHS could easily dodge attacks from a FTL character if speed was equalized

So we equalize speed if a character can blitz by themself

but if he blitz via projectiles then it's ok?

There is a difference between dodging attacks in a fight, and walking backwards until your opponent's attack loses all the momentum it has arcs into the ground

Projectiles, for the most part, can be aim dodged/blocked and reacted to their preparatory movements.

I agree with this.
