Yep, it's happening again. But, their tiers are closer then ever now, so yeah. Speed Equalized for obvious reasons, otherwise the debate isn't a debate. I think you know what pages to look for. Both characters

Round 1: Base Archie Pre vs Base 4-A Mario

Round 2: Game Super Sonic vs Crystal Stars Paper Mario because wynaut?

Round 3: Super Archie Post vs Pure Hearts Paper Mario. Neither have time limits (Not that Paper Mario had a time limit in the first place).

Round 1: Either one of them goes back in time or Sonic reality warps him to death. Voting Sonic for majority.

Round 2: Pretty much the same only it's Mario doing the warping plus his intangibility.

Round 3: Mario one shots via huge AP advantage.

Huge AP advantage? Are you sure you arn't talking about the wrong Archie Super Sonic? Because their AP is the same.
 
Actually Archie Super Sonic is 2-A because he defeated Archie Solaris who can consume Infinite Universes in the Archie Universe. Archie Super Sonic godstomps Pure Hearts Paper Mario.
 
I am pretty sure muliversal+ Archie sonic is regarded as a outliner so make a revision if you want. But your vote probably won't be counted
 
Round 1:Mario has way more hax, but sonic speedblitz

Round 2:paper mario stomps since MASSIVE speed advantage, has hax like supernova creation, statistics amplification, has superior reality warping, its FAR stronger, and has likely a small advantage in AP since he is on a higher level of 4A

Round 3: Paper mario whit the pure hearts has hax like reality reset (since watch the end of the game), statistics amplification, complete healing, Dimensional manipulation, and can nullify invincibility so sonic can say bye bye to his invulnerability leaving him open to paper mario attacks. And actually paper mario has the best reality warping here: Archie sonic was going to reality warp the multiverse whit mega man's help, and he also need to focus a lot as in the comic, when eggman distracted him, reality has collapsed. On the other hand, Dimentio has casually far better reality warping than dreamy bowser, and mario has exceeded his reality warping whit his own reality warping. Paper mario takes this

I would say Mario, with the star rod, he is litterlally omnipotent and can litterally go toe to toe with TOAA. TOAA would eat Archie Sonic for a snack. I'd say Mario for either round 3, or round 2 and 3. With an added fact, archie sonic has been debunked several times beause fans keep wanking him.


So my final answer, Mario.

Paper Mario is one of my favorite games of all time so trust me when I say im all for upgrades buy it's not even omnipotent in the game it's in.

But im gonna guess youre joking, the fact ya even went out of your way to say you arent and dont wank is shady.
 
Yes and the Star Rod isn't omnipotent, not even in the slightest, Twink and Peach were able to overcome it and they sure as hell ain't omnipotent.

And as for the chaos hearts? They're actually so far above the Star Rod it's hilarious, they're Tier 2-A last I checked.

Proof of Peach and twink overcoming it then maybe I would believe you. Also, provide me a link to info about both star rod and pure hearts.
 
Proof? Have you not played the game? The proof is the Peach Beam, it nullifies The Star Rod's power on Bowser, if you're gonna tell me I'm wrong ya could of at least played the game.

And The pure hearts can empower Mario to fighy Mr.L Dimentio with the Chaos Hearts, the Chaos Hearts can destroy all of reality.
 
Yes, i've not played the game. I didn't say you were wrong. I just wanted you to provide proof. Also, are you saying that, the pure hearts would give Mario an advantage in battle against sonic?
 
Just look up the final boss of Paper Mario, there's an example in that.

And yeah sure, Mario's strongest incarnation in any game is him with the Pure Hearts and a quick check tells me Mario is 2-B with them opposed to Super Sonics 2-C, so yes, it would give him an advantage.
 
Tier 0 Mario? No. Just no.

This. Read the comments, and you will find out that i actually agree with String Theory Soup for (honestly) great reasons.

But tier 0 Mario is simply no. Yes, the Star Rod has Absolute Wish/Nigh Complete Arsenal since the omniscient narrator said that the Star Rod can make anything and everything real, but this is hax, not Attack Potency
