All right then, let's see here...Joker's sleep manipulation, death manipulation, and elements gets resisted. Though mind manipulation could work. I'll give it to Mario. He will most likely start with jumping on Joker, which could get reflected or nulled. So Mario will have to face with alternatives. Mario can slow down time, seal Joker, transmute him, and BFR him to give Mario a higher chance to succeed. Joker's first few hits get nulled so he might have to use Almighty attacks at the start, giving Mario even more time to use these. Mario can also make tons of clones to gang up on Joker (albeit his AoE attacks will likely finish them quickly). And if Mario ever dies then he can resurrect hunself. So yeah, vote goes towards Mario.

Joker resists time manip and reality warp and has no resistance to memory manip and iirc Joker's mind manip is > Mario's resistance.

I say Joker mindfucks w/ a thought and since Mario's first move is jumping I'm fairly sure it won't be quick enough to net him a victory.

Joker only resists time stop, not time manipulation. Mario still overall has more wincons. Lets say Mario dies. Then he just simply ressurects himself and finishes Joker with his abilities.

Literally almost all of his items abilities he can do the same with Persona's. Again, Joker's items make no difference.

Just going to point out that Mario starts with passive power null (Only six attacks, but still useful).

Resisting time stop is >>>> resisting time slow. That should do it to resist Mario's unless Mario's time manip is time rewind or something.

Joker doesn't need to kill, he just needs to incap with either Mind/Memory Manip or Bio Manip and he's likely to do so first since he's still a teenager and murdering a person he doesn't know that isn't a shadow would probably be last resort.

And mind manip/bio manip being temporary is game mechanics/being resisted by everyone else. It's permanent otherwise.

He can still use mindhax to kill Mario while under it, but once Mario comes back after dying then it's wahoo time.

After looking back again, yeah I think Joker should have his Almighty Attacks, so he could likely drain Mario's health or give him a status effect that bypasses resistance.

Life drain doesn't fully kill you. Nor does any of his almighty attacks have death manipulation, sleep manipulation, and elements.

Power Nullification, Sleep Manipulation, Transmutation, Poison Manipulation and Fear Manipulation resistances, neat.

I'm still not really seeing what counters thought-based mindhax. Considering Mario's first move is jumping and shooting fireballs.

It is permanent, the only flavor reason why it's temporary in-game is because everyone and their mother resists it.

"Thought-based mindhax" His mind manipulation is not mind based, seriously have you seen the gameplay? Joker has to summon his Persona first and then choose his move to send it out. It is not thought based. Also, I literally already said what Mario's first move was going to be jumping, which would likely not work. Thus he uses others abilities. If Mario somehow messed up and dies, then 1-Ups, Life Shrooms, or Retry Clocks gives him another shot. Mario can use his time manipulation which is also thought based and use any other of his moves that one-shot.

Everyone's "resistance" is getting removed. It does not last forever.

Well it's either that or game mechanics, ice does not magically disappear after being potent enough to freeze humans and freeze is a status effect akin to the rest. Mindhax should be similar.

Even if Joker's mindhax isn't thought based Mario's first move not being his hax would give him more than enough time to throw out bio manip or mind manip.
