Use this thread for important staff requests that are not covered by more specialised topics or forums.

All staff members should preferably subscribe to it.

I do not know, but it probably wouldn't be worth the effort to separate the categories for almost 300 characters at this point.

Thank you for being reasonable.

The main reason is because they are just too similar, so making an entire debate for each case in whether or not X guy fits on one or the other is easily left at a side by just combining both ideas together, at least respectively.

Anyways, overall, this isn't really an issue.

What criteria is currently used to determine the featured articles on the wiki?

Some of them likely could be replaced with more outstanding ones, but that's just me.

@Elizhaa

I closed it.

@Bobsican

We just picked some popular characters from varied franchises.

Labo Grid
Can someone who knows more about grids and perspective help me? I need to figure out a scaling for this image. For reference, the grid is 8x8 tiles, if that helps.

I'm trying to figure out the size of the foot and crater relative to the individual tiles

Hey, I couldn't find where else to say this but I read in several places that fandom is moving away from wikis and into social media and click bait articles, and that in January of 2020 they'll get rid of all forums and encyclopedia stuff (like vs battle wiki) so I was wondering if you guys were planning a move, to preserve the content here. JoJos bizarre adventure wiki is moving right now, and I just thought that the staff and everyone here should be aware of it. If it needs to be a request to fit this specific thread than I request you all be aware of what is likely going to happen soon.

Okay.

Yes, but it's not something you could call equipment or anything that could fit in any current profile format.

Still doesn't seem combat applicable whatsoever.

Best case scenario this can be moved to a blog, as again, it isn't neither a character, weapon or something relevant for a character/group in matches, as it is not equipment either.

In a nutshell, while the page may have usable content, it isn't something that would be indexed on the wiki as a page, if anything it should be moved to a blog post.

Maybe a third section could be considered that focuses on outstanding profiles? It could also help to promote new members from trying to aim stuff of such quality on pages they do.

Here's a list that's somewhat old that features some of those.

Now that I think about it, however, a separate thread would be better to discuss such thing better, Can I go ahead and do one for that?

It literally makes your weapons stronger, how is it not combat applicable?

Because it's not something that can fall as equipment of any sort to any character in the respective verse, at best it would only be useful in some weird Vs. thread that puts it clear that one of them is around the battlefield, which even then would often be detrimental to the character that uses it because of the obvious vulnerability.

In that case, formatting it to a proper weapon page should be done anyways.

I do not mind if we delete the page, given that it does not seem to fit any of our standard profile types.

I am uncertain if creating a "High Quality Pages" folder in the wiki navigation bar would be a good idea. It requires a quite subjective assessment, and likely would not be interesting to most of our visitors.

Okay.

Okay. I will close it.

Normally mainstream stuff gets stuff of such quality, say, we aren't going to just put someone like Sketch Turner just because his page really can't get more detailed/better.

The subjective stuff can be fixed with some poll, and that section could even change once each 2 months or so, so that way many will try to get the honor of getting one of their best pages featured for a while.

As for the visitors, well, I don't think adding that would affect that much (if at all), as the other sections would still remain, and a constant taste of freshness could actually gather even more users, after all, many wikis do this sort of stuff in some way already.

We have lots of well-made pages, and most of them are not interesting to the vast majority of our visitors. I think that the current structure is likely fine.

That may be the case, but being featured is still an honor, it could also be used to gather support in certain mainstream series that lack pages and so on.

The structure itself is fine, I'm just saying that it could get better.

Anyways, as in the end the above is optional...

Why does the Science Fiction Characters category gets a verse page variatio but the Fantasy Characters and Science Fantasy ones don't? Could such categories be made?

@Bobsican

1) Well, I suppose that you could start thread about it in the staff forum if you wish.

2) I suppose that such categories could be made, but it is best if you ask Promestein about it first.

@Gewsbumpz

I handled it.

Should we make a page about Passives in general? I noticed there isnt one and you have stuffs like Hax who have their own page. Passives are more common in this wiki and I think it deserve to have one
