"Eh (munch, munch, munch), who're you, doc?" "It's a me, Mario!"

Bugs Bunny (Composite) was hanging out at Pismo Beach, when he saw someone surfing. They stood out to Bugs for some reason, so after they finished surfing, he decided to approach them. After the above exchange happens, Bugs becomes surprised to learn that he's meeting the famous Mario. Bugs than introduces himself. The two have heard many tales of each other. Eventually, they decide to have a sparring match to see how they stack up against each other.

Mario has everything in his arsenal except for a Pure Heart. Specifically, he gets one of every item (that means he gets one of each of his different power-ups, including one of each of his different temporary invincibility items). He is Large Star level. Bugs gets one Super Carrot. Both in character. Defeat by any nonlethal means, including KO or simply exhausting the opponent of stamina. Speed will only be equalized if it becomes a stomp for one of them otherwise.

There already was something like this and it involved Bugs completely Hax spamming plot manips and what not but seeing the goody two shoes rule you putted there maybe the result will probably be different.

Also now that I think about it in terms of speed even if they are both llisted on MFTL+ if it was unequalized Mario possibly blitzes?

Mmm... the way this match is in means that Bugs may keep the plothax because of his character in this context.

I'll wait for more input to vote, but I'll point out that Mario starts with passive Power-Null forcefields around himself.

Anything is fair game as long as it doesn't kill the other or cause so much pain that they refuse to continue sparring. Mario has his healing items, and Bugs will let him use one each time he becomes too injured before they resume their match. If Mario runs out of healing items, Bugs will stick to less dangerous tactics to insure Mario does not die or become maimed to the point he would have to be rushed to the nearest healing item to fix something akin to broken bones. Bugs himself has great Regenerationn, so Mario does not need to worry about killing or maiming him. They can also use their nonlethal hax on each other such as Mario's sealing, provided that they can reverse the effects and free/return them to normal afterwards. If Mario manages to seal Bugs up with his cards for example, that's an instant win if Bugs can't free himself. However, after using it to defeat Bugs, Mario would have to free him, assuming he can even do that. Any nonlethal hax that they can reverse if they so choose is allowed here, though since it's a sparring match, they will most likely start off with simple punches and kicks and slowly build up from there, only using their more powerful abilities as the fight escalates. A little warm up before they go all out.

Though I would like the match to be a valid and get added, I think it should not because "Defeat by any nonlethal" rule basically limited all the characters' deadliest Hax like Mario's Existence Erasure, etc. which mean restricting abilities. In this case, like the Versus Thread rules elaborated upon, the match won't get added:

It is fine to restrict abilities in a versus matchup. However, matches that are arranged this way should not be added to the character profiles, as they don't involve their full potential, and are only intended for casual entertainment. An exception would be if the restricted ability/technique has a separate tier from the main one. In this case the match can be added.
Though the match won't get added, I will vote for Bugs Bunny (Composite) .

One or two more. I will ask if it can be added or not if both are in character. Even if it cannot, I would still like to see it get an official conclusion.

Well it also says in the versus thread rules that the OP can specify the victory conditions.

OP can make those victory conditions, yes, but if those conditions limit abilities then like I explained above the matches aren't added or removed from Versus Removal Threads, from my experiences.

The OP isn't restricting abilities, they're setting a victory condition which is perfectly fine by the rules.

Technically, OP elaborated on restrictions on lethal abilities for both side as stated here:

  • Anything is fair game as long as it doesn't kill the other or cause so much pain that they refuse to continue sparring.
From this eleboration, abilities like Existence Erasure would be restricted in this match.

I would say, it depends on the matchs.

If victory by nonlethal means limits a characters from using any abilities (from their same tiers like rules said) like in this case for lethal abilities, the answers is no.

I am a moderator. Besides, I thought the rule was clear about abilities' restrictions, implicitely or explicitely.

I'd say inconclusive since both mostly resist there abilities. It's a matter of who has the highest AP
I say for a Plumber who has SO MUCH SEEMINGLY USEFUL INVENTORY in his disposal to use he sure does have SO MANY DEFEATS I may understand if in some way Mario is equalized or restricted in some fashion and will lose to some yes but it at times baffles me I can't be the only one.

Has this ever been requested to be added?
It was, but due to the VS Thread rule of not restricting abilities this is invalid.

MEANING, once his fight with alucard is finished and I make him fight Classic Doctor Strange and Batman with prep time I will do a rematch.

OR I can spam all 4 at once like we did with gumball and how butter does with naughty, that should work
