8-C Monster Brackets Round 8

jigglypuff because sleep and charm status effects, Statistic Amplification and reduction power null and mimicry, also because of healing.
 
Problem is Igglybuff cannot properly use Sing without harming itself in the process or without it working improperly

Igglybuff's vocal chords are not sufficiently developed. It would hurt its throat if it were to sing too much. This Pokémon gargles with freshwater from a clean stream.

It likes to sing but is not yet good at it. With praise and encouragement, it will get better little by little.

It's always practicing its singing because it wants to improve. Even when it's asleep, it keeps singing in its dreams!

Left to its own devices, it will constantly practice singing. You should make it take a break so it doesn't hurt its throat.
 
Let me be more specific here.

Attack: Igglybuff, with 0.61 tons whereas Gogiga is baseline for being superior to his previous 9-A form.

Durability: See Attack.

Lifting Strength: Supposedly Igglybuff if you consider Gogiga is regular human at default.

Stamina: Equal

Range: Gogiga with Several meters whereas Igglybuff has Extended at best, but shouldnt be too far behind.

Intelligence: Igglybuff, considering she knows more skill than Gogiga.

Experience: ...Equal?

Abilities: Id say Igglybuff. Charm is pretty much a go-to move for this one, and once used at least thrice, the AP is now over <5.5. Defense Curl also adds more salt and pepper to this stack, so she should be able to tank those hits even further. Sweet Kiss pretty much confuses with Gogigas mind as well. Now, while the only threatening thing seems to be the Range, Just put him to sleep and there.
 
More fair game, I suppose? Sure. What is the Xyz Coat? How much Damage does it mitigate?
 
Its a coat that Gagagigo wears that allows him to power null damage from incoming attacks or passives
 
Its limited in the fact that it only prevents damaging abilities, not status effects or the like
 
Can you still try to damage Gogiga without using Statuses, or is that the only way to damage him when wearing the xyz coat?
 
I see. Regardless, I believe that Igglybuff would still win this if she just puts him to sleep. How often does Gogiga do that Electricity Range?
 
Yep. At least 1 sing should do before its vocal chords get damaged, I assume?

Statuses and stuff like bfr or ee or dearh manip are the only ways to damage him as he nulls all direct damage

Just wanna point out that the OP hasn't changed to The Risen, so we should threat this as still Igglypuff vs Gogiga, so no XYZ Coat
 
Just want to point out Gagagigo has no real advantages besides experience which is mostly weakened by his aggression
 
Just want to point out that aggression wouldnt be an issue with Gagagigo the Risen
