Alucard opens with broken Soul Hax and stomps Dante to oblivion

Seriously, we have a lot of Low 2-C Belmonts who can fight Dante without stomping him

Well this was gonna happen eventually.

Alright so Soul Manip from Alucard pretty much kills Dante deader than his pappy ever is. Plus Dante's regen gets nae nae'd by Alucard poking him. Would Sealing be possible? Cause otherwise I'd say Alucard eventually goes for soul manip for the win.

Exactly how likely is Alucard to go for Soul Manip? If it's likely within a reasonable amount of time, then this is pretty much a stomp.

Note: That is assuming Dante isn't capable of resisting it. "Infinite" soul manip sounds like NLF, and Dante's resistance is pretty good. Though I have literally no idea myself, I'm not knowledgable on Castlevania. Don't quote me on that.

Well Soul Steal is a pretty good move in Sotn, so I'd say he's liable to use it. At least if Dante gets some good hits on him.

I see. And what does the AP difference look like?

Alucard's regen is Mid, so Dante can negate his Regenerationn aswell, one stab can kill here

First thing is, Alucard doesn't start with Soul Hax, my bad, he only did this for a crowd control in Aria of Sorrow. So basically, both of them have Time Stop, and both of them have Resistance to it, they actually have Resistance to basically everything that they can throw to each other, but Dante can seal Alucard, but Alucard can Soul Hax Dante, that's the scenario here at first glance, right ?

Well, no. It's much more in character for Alucard to use Soul Hax first, so if the fight depends on Sealing Vs Soul Steal only, Alucard will win, it's not the scenario here, however, since Dante doesn't need Sealing, he can also negate Alucard's regen

- But Dante, Alucard can just stab him, since he also negates his Regenerationn

Well, yes but actually no

Dante will have the speed advantage thanks to Quick Heart, which amps his speed by 10 times, and will have the AP advantage since the DT amps him to the point of one shotting people who are comparable to Dante's Base, as we saw in the Anime, and he have Instinctive Reactions so Alucard is not going to surprise him, and the Devil Sword Dante will give the Vampire a really hard time, even more considering that he'll have multiple Summoned Swords attacking Alucard at the same time (Just see Swordmaster in 5) and this is 100% in character for DMC5 Dante, he also uses them for defense, so considering this, it's much more easier to assume that Dante will stab him first

This is a good advantage but, if Alucard says "Soul Steal", it's game over, Dante doesn't resist a Soul Hax at Alucard's level

Will he use this before getting stabed ? We don't know, he doesn't start with Soul Hax, as I said, the only time we saw this was for crowd control which is not the case here, so for this reasons I'm going with Inconclusive, if there is another example of Alucard going with Soul Steal at the beggining of the fight, as literally the first move, then things will change

- What about Alucard's invulnerabilty ?

A DT Dante can just one shot him, well actually even base Dante maybe be able to do it, Low 2-C feats in Castlevania comes from Menace and Time Reaper, both are inferior to Alucard by a Unknown amount, while we know that a weaker version of Dante (Awakened DMC5 Dante absolutely stomps any other version o him HARD) can destroy people who are stronger than baseline. Even having some level of invulnerabilty, it's a big AP gap, Dante can hurt him

Honestly, that actually seems like good evidence for a vote to Dante. Dante is more than capable of just quickly stabbing him, and it's a pretty obvious opening move. Even if Soul Steal for Alucard is an easy one-shot, if he doesn't use it instantly he gets one-shot himself. The match comes down to whether:

1: Dante stabs Alucard first

2: Alucard uses Soul Steal

And while the second situation is entirely possible, the first situation is almost certainly more likely. I might have to put my vote to Dante here, though I'm leaning towards incon.

Well, I can't agree with that

Dante will eventually stab him in a sword duel, however Alucard can, for example, turn into mist or a flock of bats to avoid physical attacks, Dante's Non Physical Interaction doesn't help here because Alucard still tangible, just harder to hit. He also uses a special shield that can help him block close attacks and he can also redirect projectiles, so Dante's guns aren't going to be effective

That's why this is a dangerous fight, Dante's Sword Attacks are enough to say that he will stab Alucard first, but not necessarily stab him fast, making a opening for a Soul Steal

Inconclusive is the best bet here

Damn I gotta throw more characters Dante likes against eachother

Incon FRA

So, what I'm getting at, is that Dante can potentially one-shot with a sword attack, but Alucard has plenty of ways to make this as difficult for Dante as possible, allowing Alucard to potentially use Soul Steal while Dante's still trying to hit him.

Like Dante said, Alucard has quite a bit of ways to prevent Dante from landing a hit. Yes, Dante will eventually hit Alucard, but it will take quite a bit of time and effort, giving Alucard some oppurtunities to use his soul hax

incon FRA

Overkill is best. And now the two protags team up to solve their family issues aka beat the living daylights of a brother and a father
