The Story:
"A ruined world. A world full of strife and ruled by demons. That is the world you have been summoned to. Balance has been broken, the Elemental Gods who once protected this world from the demons have disappeared. That is why I call you here from your world. I am The Balance. The one who presides over this world and all others. I do not interfere, however, for this world I have chosen to make you all my agents. You will be granted powers like those of the inhabitants of this realm, however, my gift to you will be growth and a unique blessing of your choice. Your power will grow at a rate greater than any ordinary being of this world. With this power, you are to return the balance of power, which has been tipped towards the demons, to equality. You must grow and surpass the 15 Demon Gods ruling this world and put an end to them. The world you will be brought to is one of magic, mana is used widely as the source of energy and every human possesses special power, take care and you will succeed."
The Mechanics:
Powers: You will each choose one and only one unique power you will possess. Every human and demon possesses a unique power.
Powers are divided into multiple types:
External - The most common type, powers that manifest as abilities the user can project out of their body
Body - A rarer type, powers that manifest as abilities based on changing or amplifying the user's body in some way.
Chaotic - The rarest type, powers that are very potent even without any training, however are very difficult to control and also often come at the cost of the user's affinities.
This power will be the backbone of your character, so pick carefully, but within reason, any reality manipulating powers are (at the start at least) restricted to Chaotic type. Exact copies of powers from the wiki are forbidden, however similar powers and taking inspiration is allowed. Your growth will mostly come from your power expanding and gaining new sub powers, so try and make something that can be expanded and added upon, try and be creative.
Affinity: Each human and demon has a magical affinity to a certain element, this will be the second half of your combat capability.
The Elements:
Most Common - Fire, Water, Earth, Wind
Less Common - Lightning, Nature, Light, Darkness, Ice
Least Common - Impure Mana (Chaotic only), Pure Mana (Only 1 person may take either of these and they require you to dedicate your Power to them)
Side Affinities: These may be added to any character regardless of your affinity, however you may only pick one, if you pick a Side Affinity you cannot receive a Blessing.
Blood Magic - Grants the capability to use and manipulate blood and the magic that stems from it, however, it is considered heresy in many places
Holy Magic - A unique type of magic specifically powerful against various lesser demons, acts as the opposite of Blood Magic, however, using this will make you a target for demon attacks
Demonic Magic - Allows to use the magic and spells of demons, this allows minor reality warping, portal creation and some degree of summoning, among other things, however, using this magic will make you hated by most
Animation Magic - Allows the user to manipulate or create various artificial constructs, however, constructs may not always be under full control
Affinities grant the user the corresponding elemental power. The strength of the elemental power will grow with you, just as the powers do.
Blessings: Your special gift given to you by The Balance, cannot be taken if a Side Affinity was picked.
Divine Bloodline - Grants the ability to take on an ascended form based on the user's elemental affinity, amplifying the users power, however this form must be unlocked through enough strain to bring it forth.
Charm of Resilience - Grants increased resistance to diseases, biological type abilities and reality manipulating abilities as well as extending lifespan by 1.25x and decreasing damage by 25%, however the user's body is also affected less by healing and beneficial effects
Fortune's Gift - Grants increased luck, the user has a better chance to escape situations unscathed and to survive normally lethal attacks, however the luck has a low chance of critical failure, making a situation much worse instead
Demonic Pact - Allows the summoning of 3 lesser demons to aid the user, they vary in power based on the user, however these demons have a small chance to not obey the user.
Enchanted Weapon - Grants the user a weapon enchanted with an effect (The GM decides the effect, the player chooses the weapon), the effect may have unknown drawbacks
Enchanted Artifact - Grants the user a non-weapon artifact with an effect (The GM decides the effect, the player chooses the artifact), the effect may have unknown drawbacks

Greater Demons are darker or sometimes red skinned humanoids with horns of varying size, they are intelligent and possess their own powers just as humans do
Demon Gods are supremely powerful and immortal greater demons, their power has mutated their bodies into monstrous beings and the powers they possess are beyond most mortals.
Nothing Higher Dimensional is allowed or will ever appear in the RP. The PCs start at 9-A (0.05 tons).
