Phoenix Wright Cross Examines King

Phoenix is taking on a murder case which occured inside the Hero Association HQ and meets King during his investigation, both having prior knowledge of each other. During their smalltalk King at one point claims to be The Strongest Man on Earth until Maya's Magatama triggers a few psyche locks.

Feenie wins if he can prove King's a fraud despite having no evidence. King wins if he convinces Wright that he's the real deal.

You know, this might be the one time where the Magatama comes in handy in a vs match. Usually the King Engine makes King's enemies pass out in fear due to their belief that King is the strongest hero in the world. But if Wright can see through that, he will be able to overcome the King Engine and, well, hit King once.

Wouldn't King Engine be prone to making Wright budge though? In Dual Destinies Phoenix was willing to die via explosion inside the courtroom to prove Ted Tonate's bomb was a dud, but that was because he was already sure of it by the evidence backing his claims. Wright is pretty much naked aside from his Magatama and King's Engine has convinced monsters leagues over Phoenix's power level. Even if the fear manipulation wasnt enough for PW to pass out, would he really be willing to risk his life over this hunch?

It's not a hunch, it's spiritual power that tells Phoenix King is lying. He was willing to defend a guy that an assassin told him to defend because the Magatama didn't react when the accused stated he didn't kill the victim.

Phoenix takes this.

Fight starts Magatama makes tons of psycho locks appear justt after King says anything intimidating and Phoenix one shots no diff.

And Phoenix IS super determined and brave, he will run thru a burning bridge to save anyone he cares about. The moment he sees the psycho locks, King's done.

Phoenix Wright DESTROYS King with FACTS and EVIDENCE.

Alright then, it's fair to say Wright wouldn't be scared of King Engine if you count witnesses like Furio Tiger or Shelly de killer. Even without evidence he could still just ask King to hit him or hit the man himself to find out he's not as strong as he seems.

4 points for the better bluffer

Not to mention Phoenix LOVES exposing lies and is also a expert bluffer himself, as seen in the Furio Tiger trial's finale.

What is Magatama?
It's a Kurain charm that Wright always carries on his person. When somebody lies, it reacts, showing Phoenix locks and chains around the person which only go away once Wright finds out the truth.

So, say, if King said something like "I am King, S Class Hero rank 7, and the strongest man on Earth", the magatama would react.
