Game Sonic Revisions: Power of the Maverick Blog

Credit and giant kudos to the man Maverick for creating the blog and making this all so much easier.

So this'll be a pretty big revision that affects almost every profile in the series, but it should be fairly easy to handle. But not only is this a revision about the powers and abilities, I also want to make the profiles look more neat and less cluttered.

For each character that's affected, I'll list what they're missing.

General Powers and Abilities
So, here's where the organization comes into play. Sonic's profile had several of the wisps scattered about and such, but it was cleaned up. Here's the thing. The two sections below are outlines for what I thought was the best approach in more clarity on where some of the abilities come from.

I was hoping that, if a character gets both sections, we could keep it seperated instead of bunching them together. The Power Ups and Wisps work in completely different ways. Mixing them would be a slight headache.

Characters
Sonic: Completed.

  • Acausality (Type 1) and Resistance to Existence Erasure (Unaffected by the Time Eater erasing history and leaving everything as a colorless void, whereas everybody else had to be restored)
Statistics Amplification on Sonic's page should actually be Accelerated Development. Stats Amp is a temporary increase, Sonic was explicitly stated to become stronger several times throughout Sonic Forces while in imprisonment as well as fighting. It makes it kinda hard to classify. He should still have Stats Amp due to items, but not because of the first part of the description.

  • Accelerated Development (Passive; Physical stats, Abilities. Replicated Chaos Control after seeing Shadow use it once, became an expert Extreme Gear Rider with no formal training, and quickly learned and mastered swordsmanship within the span of hours. Grew stronger after six months of imprisonment in the Death Egg. Sonic was later stated to exceed previous data by Infinite, who had previously defeated him, and stated himself to grow stonger every second before quickly overwhelming him.)
  • Statistics Amplification (With the Golden Gloves, Speed Bar, Speed Shoes, and Somersault. Can increase all of his stats with a blue aura in Werehog Form)
Why is the Immunity Idol listed in Statistics Amplification? That doesn't make any sense.

Optional Equipment: Caliburn, Item Boxes, Chaos Emeralds, World Rings, an Ark of the Cosmos, Piko Piko Hammer, Gems, Time Stones, Power-Ups, Angel Amulet, Ring of Life, Immunity Idol, Extreme Gear, Sonic Crackers, Clarent, Shahra's ring, Light Speed Shoes/Light Chip, Crystal Ring, Bounce Bracelet, Flame Ring Magic Gloves, Replenisher, Health Roots, Health Seeds, Antidotes, Health Leaves, Spooky Charm, Golden Gloves, Speed Bar, Nocturne Blade, Arondight, Galatine, Laevatein, Herb of Toughness, Fiery Quaff, Hot Fiery Quaff, Vial of Calm, Philter of Tranquility, Super Antidote, Stone Protection, Petrification Immunity, Paralysis Cure, Paralysis Immunity, Kron Hammer, Zoah Shield, Cure All Spray.

Classic Sonic: Completed.

  • Acausality (Type 1) and Resistance to Existence Erasure (Alongside his Modern Counterpart, he was unaffected by the Time Eater erasing history whereas everyone else had to be restored)
Tails: Completed.

  • Has Power Ups already
  • Gets the Color Powers he's missing
Tails can participate in Sonic Riders and Team Sonic Racing, so he obviously can use vehicles competently.

Knuckles: Completed.

  • Gets Color Powers
Amy Rose: Completed.

  • Gets the Color Powers
Big the Cat: Completed.

  • Gets the Color Powers
Cream the Rabbit: Completed.

Shadow: Completed.

  • Gets Power Ups
  • Gets the Color Powers
Rouge the Bat: Completed.

  • Gets Power Ups
  • Gets the Color Powers
E-123 Omega: Completed.

  • Gets the Color Powers
Vector: Completed.

  • Gets the Color Powers
Espio: Completed.

  • Gets Power Ups
  • Gets missing Color Powers (From Sonic Runners)
Charmy: Completed.

Silver: Completed.

  • Gets the Color Powers
Blaze: Completed.

  • Gets the Color Powers
Dr. Eggma: Completed.

  • Gets the Color Powers
'Metal Sonic: Completed.

  • Gets Power Ups
  • Gets Color Powers
Egg Paw: Completed.

  • Gets Color Powers
Shade the Echidna: Completed.

Zavok: Completed.

  • Gets Color Powers
Time Eater: Completed.

I've started some optional equipment from RPG items.

I'll be gone gor a bit, maybe a few hours? Would somebody be willing to help organize Optional Equipment some of the characters? I won't be able to do so until late tonight, but I figure we could do tge OE in tbis CRT as well.
 
This is just for Sonic. Applying Optional Equipment to every other profile should likely get its own thread.

I honestly dunno what the Wisp fall under. Y'all can debate that.

On an unrelated note, this should probably be done with characters like Mario, as his current profile just assumes he'll be carrying every Power-Up he's ever used on his person.

Why though? The other profiles already have those abilities so it can be added to them.
 
The abilities stay, but under the stipulation that they can only be accessed with optional equipment. Make an OI tabber or something.
 
Well, maybe OE should be saved for another thread. I'll edit everything aside from Sonic's out of the OP.
 
A lot of sonic's stuff hinges on that though.
 
If the Zone only didn't have color and was still physically present, then a hard no at it being existence erasure.
 
Clearly space wasn't erased if everything was still there but the color. Nothing was physically deleted so nothing can be gained from that.

Furthermore, nobody should get a single thing from the racing game.
 
Gee, I wonder if other series get equipment from racing games? I mean, not even Mario gets stuff from Kart and Party but Sonic's special so let him get it.

I said nothing about canon don't freaking strawman me.
 
Team Sonic Racing does have a plot to go along with it.

I personally wouldn't be against giving Mario characters abilities from Mario Kart though.
