He shoots his poison/virus in the form of a blast that's basically the same as Ratt's needle thingies...only in poison blast form. I.e Corrodes and Melts all that it comes into contact with.

Yes, Dokugumon is sentient. Also they aren't that far from each other. If Bug runs, he'll chase them and summon KoDokugumon who will continue to chase Bug as well. Running is a pretty bad move for Bug. Not to mention, being able to sense Ratt likely won't be hard seeing as Digimon can interact with spirits and such.

I'm leaning more to the digimon just because Ratt needs to actually assume a sniping position before aiming and firing, and do this all before Archnemon closes the distance and spits acid.
And this is assuming that the rat's first instinct isn't to just run away.

Not Archnemon, Dokugumon. The 6-B key. But yeah, it's highly in character for Dokugumon to continuously chase opponents down until they get tired.

Yeah, but from what I gathered, this "poison" is not a poison in the traditional sense, but more acid....which Dokugumon doesn't resist.

Ratt in character doesn't fight face to face, it's the whole point of his Stand. He runs away from confrontation because it's in his nature to do so. The chances of him readying Bug-Eaten when the fight starts is pretty low to say the least.

Bug-Eaten No. 1 did it to Josuke at a range closer than 12 metres. Bug-Eaten No. 2 did it to Jotaro behind the scenes and nearly melted his hands off.
