Wasn't that due to Steven being able to get inside his head and convince him not too kill himself? I don't doubt Star has the same compassion as Steven but I just don't see her talking Thunder out of it. I mean, if anything I'd see Star try and knock him out with a really weak spell to stop him doing it, accidentally killing him with the AP advantage and then she dies
 
Star's actually hit people way below her AP with spells before and they survived, her spells are usually meant for incap, not killing, only real differences are with Toffee.

Yeah, Steven's probably one of the only people on the site that could talk Thunder out of it. That's why he's among the ranks of characters that didn't go Thunderclusive. Either way, going inconclusive here FRA.
