Where Does Dragon Ball's 2-B Rating Come From?

Hi.

I was debating on this thread: Xeno Goku VS Mario

On the thread, I was explaining my understanding of Dragon Ball's cosmology. Said cosmology following Many World Theory of Quantum Mechanics mindset, where "many different futures are created over the smallest of things."

I obtained this knowledge from this thread where it was argued that canon Zeno should be 2-B for reasons that are said in the thread. Not to mention, my understanding of DB Cosmology was stated to be the foundation of the wiki's understanding of DB's cosmology in this blog by an inactive user who was very knowledgeable on Dragon Ball.

However, some people in the Xeno Goku vs. Mario thread debated me saying that only messing with time via time travel can create new timelines. Most prominent was The real cal howard

And people were agreeing with him, adding to my growing confusion.

I feel there has been some discrepancy of the understanding on Dragon Ball's cosmology between different people on the site.

And so I made this thread to understand which side of the argument is the correct one.
 
Timelines in Dragon Ball are full, alternate universes with their own flow of time, and Goku scales to someone who can endanger the entire multiverse and all the possible timelines. What here is arguable?
 
Not to mention Demigra could overload the system with possibilities... if that means anything
 
But what if The Matrix is just another set of possibilities where Goku is High 6-C

What is being argued is how timelines are generated in Dragon Ball.

Are they generated solely through time travel, or are they also based on a Many Worlds Theory cosmology where "many different futures are created over the smallest of things."

This misconception stems from a misinterpretation of the Time Rings. It's stated that a new Time Ring is created every time someone messes with time, which some have taken to be talking about all timelines in general; however, they are created specifically when new timelines are spawned by time travelers, and not when new timelines appear in general.

Trunks explicitly states that even the smallest of actions spawns a new timeline, and this has gone uncontradicted.
 
I would think about as high into 2-B as you can get, taken literally.
 
Which is why I said I didn't want to answer it. Khorne and Arceus would look like newborn babies compared to it.

I'd like to point out that literally in the very beginning of Dragon Ball Xenoverse, like, first one hour of play or so, we have Time Patrol Trunks explaining that new timelines are created through time travel meddling with the past.

The 2-B based on the assertion that every action generates new possibilities quantum-mechanics wise is false.
 
This thread got my interest. I've talked briefly in the thread Goku Vs Mario about the fact that people thought that DBH's multiverse is the biggest on the site because of the 2-A Upgrade (which resulted to a much higher degree of 2-B), iirc You Matt and other peoples are agree about that due to the "near infinite timeline" but peoples answered me that you didn't accepted that

So Matt, i want to know your opinion about.

If I tell someone that I go to the toilet everytime I have really bad stomachaches, I'm not telling them that I only EVER go to the toilet when I have bad stomachaches. I'm making a general statement, otherwise I'd have died already.
 
Except when it's literally stated by both the canon manga, and every single time you talk to a time patroller. Unless "countless timelines, possibilities, outcomes that already exist and are expanding rapidly" now means "7 timelines created over nearly two decades".
 
The Canon Manga statement doesn't count because he's specifically talking about the smallest of changes through time travel, which is the only way new timelines are made in canon.
 
Except that's false because he doesn't say that.

He states many different futures are created over the smallest of things, not time changes.
 
Not only that, multiple time patrollers state repeatedly that there are countless timelines, that they are formed through countless events, that history can take a numberless amount of paths, and etcetera.

Unless you twist these statements out of their context, the seven-timeline view can't be sustained. Unless everyone is lying, including the goddess who oversees time itself who says the exact same thing.
 
So basically, the Time Patrollers wouldn't be trying to prevent the formation of new timelines, but simply the worst possible changes and outcomes for those timelines to happen.
 
To my understanding the multiverse consists of 12 core universes and from those universes stem timelines (layers of each universe consisting of different layers of time and space).

12 Universes = Countless possible alternates of each universe = Countless possible alternates of the multiverse

Alternative possibilities (timelines) are created by tampering with the core existing universes which results in new versions or copies of that universe that may have completely different events or rules.

GT and Super are considered to be completely different timelines (arguably the most severe example of how different two timelines can be) when discussed in Xenoverse.

There are four notable people or events that result in new timelines (new multiverses) which would be: Bulma (With Trunks using her technology), Universe 12 (Stated to have invented time travel IIRC), the Time Patrol and the Time Breakers.

Due to Bulma we have five additional timelines which correlates with 72 universes (six multiverses including the main timeline) and due to the antics of Zamasu we have a sixth additional timeline which adds to 84 canon universes within all timelines. (This does not consider how there were at least six more universes within the multiverse prior to Zeno's erasure of them).

The time travel in Universe 12 would result in another multiverse existing within all of space-time so we now have 96 canon universes (and potentially far more).

So we have Universe 7 time travel + Universe 12 time travel creating canonical copies of the entire multiverse at least several times. Going over every single individual timeline made from the events of Xenoverse, Heroes and Online would be a pain but it would be magnitudes greater than anything in canon.

TL;DR Every time a new timeline is made (no matter how minor) through time travel it results in a completely new copy of the entire multiverse.
 
What is there to talk about?

DBX and DBH have expansive 2-B. Every event creates many timelines.
