Heat resistance Negation for Akainu & resistance to for Logias.

I've been reading some of the Manga again and I noticed that Akainu should actually have this added to his profile. He bypassed the heat resistance of Portgas D. Aceand Whitebeard, which also leads me to the next thing. Every Logia should get a resistance to thier own elements for being able to wield thier elements without any injuries. ( Ace not getting burnt when turning apart of his body into fire, Kuzan not being bothered by the coldness of his ice limbs, etc. )

Logia fruits can afford the users immunity to effects related to their elements as well. For example, Crocodile and Ace are completely unaffected by the desert heat, as they possess Logia abilities related to aridity and heat, respectively.
 
Seems fine regarding the Logia users's resistance to their own element.
 
Akinu was able to neglect ace resistance cause he was magma, and superior ot ace, like aloji>monet, i think it's posibly a in verse mechanic. For logic getting resistance to their element seems fine
 
This only applies to the One Piece verse right? Because everyone in the wiki can easily resist their powers if it applies to them even if they have no feats of resisting their own element.
 
Actually, Akainu didn't bypassed WB's resistance. Said resistance comes from WB resisting and not melting from Akainu's magma so it's the opposite way.

But resistance for their own elements should be fine. They should be able to shrug off damage from attacks using the regular element (but things like Yamamoto's flames'd rekt Ace for example).

And no, Akainu didn't bypassed nor negated Ace's resistance. It's just that his resistance it's limited to heats he can withstand and Akainu is far above that paygrade.
 
Akainu's magma is powerful enough to burn flames. He dind't negates Ace's fire resistance, his heat is just superior. Remember, resistence is different from immunity. And yes, their elemental bodies make them resistence to the element they manipules (Some like Smoker and Caesar may have immunity). Just Blackbeard is the only logia to stay out of this.
