(RP) Legion Of Man - Chapter 2

Chapter 2 (Prologue): After totally trashing the penthouse apartment, your group has been under intensive training with your servants. Miriam has ordered her personel to work with you tirelessly, almost as if she's preparing you for an upcoming event. Since then the apartment has been fully repaired and this has been your lifestyle for the past week now.

But your schedule has quickly changed. Miriam has urgently summoned you to her private workshop across the city. You and the others have been gathered up as fast as possible, arriving there by limousine. Your group is also accompanied by several SUV's. Clearly whatever she wants the group for is very important.

You all arrive at your destination, a large ass area with several warehouses. Her personel quickly guide and escort you to the workshop, the largest warehouse in the entire lot. Once inside you see that it is incredibly well furnished in a mechanical and engineering sense, with lots of wires and tubes cluttering walls. There are giant batteries, engines, capsules, conveyor belts and other sorts of machinery with functions you are unable to understand. Miriam and a crowd of personel remain in the center of the warehouse, awaiting your presence.

Appearence: 6'5, quite slim, brown hair and perpetually tired looking. Generally doesn't care what he wears as long as it fits, but he's one of the people who will wear shorts when it's freezing outside

Appearance: Short, black hair, surprisingly mature for his age.

Appearance: Short, black hair, grey eyes

Appearance: 5'10, not too skinny, but not too muscular either black hair, blue eyes, wears a cape and a hood.

Servant: Satou Kazuma (Can only manifest for 35 seconds.)


- Torstan Orlo (Torlikoff)
Sex: Male

Age: 23 years old

Appearance: Taller than average, slightly overweight, brown hair, and white skin.

Servant: Nail (Can only manifest for 2 seconds.)


- Wind Gusty (Andykhang)
Sex: Male

Age: 22 years old

Appearance: A simply guy in a white T and blue jean, with a black jacket on top
Servant: Yago Ametsukana (Can only manifest for 11 seconds.)


- Harleen Joyce (Jackythejack)
Sex: Female

Age: 21 years old

Appearance: A redhead with freckles dotting along her face, mostly on her cheeks, and her hair is particularly curly the further it goes down her body. She looks very similar to a carnival ringmaster, with a fancy black tophat, a red coat with coat tails on it, and some leggings and ruby red high heels to make it all work out. She stands at about 5'7, her eyes are amber in color and her skin tone is pale. While she's not overly skinny she's not chubby either but she's certianly not of a normal body figure. Has more of an hourglass body shape than anything else.

- Sophia Deos (Mand21)
Sex: Female

Age: 17 years old

Appearance: 171 centimeters (5'7") in height, Sophia is a slightly tall girl with piercing gray eyes to accompany her face of a mostly squared shape, giving her a slightly intimidating glare. Her hairs would naturally be black, but through her abilities (or just good ol' dying if my character can't commence with powers or magic) she makes it of a white that is only darker than snow by a little. Her body, while not athletic as she is typically not a close ranged fighter, is most definitely in shape, giving her the appearance of a threatening intellectual

- Jayden Kasalo (SwathingDegenera777)
Sex: Male

Age: 15 years old

Appearance: 5"1' (five foot eleven inches). Dirty blonde hair, face akin to the facial girth entailed by Tobuscus, bears a flat stomach of which exudes forth NOT abdominal muscles, but is neither excessively obese. 110 lbs. Bears chubful lovehandles although not in excess. Has brown mole on left anklejoint.

Servant: Okuyasu (Can only manifest for 19 seconds.)


- Brian Greenfield (Standuser081)
Sex: Male

Age: 15 years old

Appearance: Tall with short black hair. Wears a brown fedora and a pair of glasses.

Servant: Vergo (Can only manifest for 8 seconds.)


Chatting and Interaction Rules:

- Roleplaying must be done in first person. You are your character, you are not controlling your character. Example: I ask the man further, "Just exactly what are you hiding?" my hand tucked into my shirt pocket.

- All meta-speak/out of character speak must be done in [square brackets]. Example: I casually throw my fist towards the man. [Am I fast enough to actually touch him @ProfessorLord?]

- One action or command at a time. You can make your actions long and lengthy, but ultimately limit yourself to just one action. Example: I reach out, trying to grab a hold of the woman... NOT: I reach out and grab the woman, while also shooting the man grabbing her in the face. The only exception is talking, you can talk more than once in a post.

- Don't force your actions onto other players, always ATTEMPT to attack a character or an enemy, never force the result on them. Example: I grab my sword, thrusting it towards the ma... this is okay, it gives the GM (me) or another player character a chance to react, if possible, what's not okay is: I grab my sword and stab the man in the chest... you just forced the result of your action onto him, regardless if he was bulletproof or something of the sort. The only exception to this rule is fodder characters, you are allowed to force your actions on fodder characters, so long as the result is logical and feasible.

- YOU and every single character is subject to death at any second. Play smart, not dumb. If you want to play for as long as possible, I'd suggest your character imitate how you would really act. There is consequences for blatantly being ********.


Playing Times:

There will be certain times when I will inform the whole thread that we as a whole are taking a break. I will make this very clear and obvious. Once a break has been declared, any discussion or actions will not be acknowledged, so please refrain from posting. I will let you know once we have resumed. These breaks will usually only last a few hours or so, and I'll only employ them when there's a lot of player characters who are unactive, so they can get caught up. Furthermore, once this chapter has been concluded, it will take a day or two before I create another thread.

I step forward. "So, what do you need now? Any other tests for us to complete?"

"We have arrived. Can we be informed on what we are supposed to do ?"

Even though I probably shouldn't be, I feel slightly relieved by the current situation. The Burning Man was getting impatient and "hungry," and even though i told him he would get his chance, he was beginning to try to manefest on his own. I can feel him realize that i was probably right and calm down slightly.

"I am very pleased you have arrived", Miriam lets the group know.

"Before we continue I must ask, how has your training been with your servant?" she continues,

"Before I share what news I have, I need to be certain: are you all able to kill with your servant? Will you be able to end another persons life without putting yourself at danger?"

"If the answer is no, I will have to kill you." she smiles.

"I have no issue killing with my servant, hes a ****** so he has no issue either" I wonder what she going to have us do I think to my self.

"And what if we said no? Would we be a liability?"

[It says that if you say no she'll kill you "If the answer is no, I will have to kill you."]

"yes, i am able to kill. In fact my servant is a killing machine"

"Ok, let's be honest guys, I know that they were evil mobsters, but the way we killed was kind of an overkill"

"Hey my servant only ripped them apar... Yeah I guess you have point"

"I don't have any issues, but I can't speak for anyone else." I say, surveying the room we're in.

"Extreme overkill seems to be mine's specialty, along with explosions."

"I personally don't have a issue, but I can't see the logic in forcing anybody to kill. It doesn't make sense to kill anyone who found a way not to kill either. It seems to me they would do the least damage to things around them, right?"

"I see. I have succeeded in distancing you from murder. This makes me very happy." Miriam shares with a smile on her face.

"I have some very important news to share with you all. But it's going to take some explanation." Miriam fiddles with her necklace, a strange purple glowing half-cylinder on the end. She removes it from her neck and hands it to Natasha, who stands right beside her and holds it up for everyone to see.

"This is the key... or at least half of it. This will be how we defeat the Legion Of Ma." she announces blankly. "Though it may not look like much, the potential power it can access, the potential power it can unleash... this is the key in preventing the universal erasure that awaits us... but as of now it is useless." Miriam explains.

"We're missing half of it," Natasha takes over. "It cannot do anything in it's current form, this we are sure of. But according to months of research and experiments we've been conducting it seems to be attracted to something. With more complicated reserach involving quantum physics, we have reason to believe it is attracted to another world." Natasha elaborates.

"Do you understand what this means?" Miriam asks. "The other half of this key, it's in another world."

"What can this... key do?"

"To be honest, we don't know. But there are strange... bursts of radiation that are emitted. It's normally harmless, but when we treat it as a battery and supercharge it as such..." Miriam goes on.

"It created an explosion so violent it destroyed this entire lot. Feeding it any amount of energy seems to produce such a violent reaction, producing far more energy than what we input." Natasha answers. "All of this from only half the key."

i scratch my chin

"so you have half of the MacGuffin that will allow us to defeat the Legion of Men, while the other half is in another universe, right ?"

"So im guessing we're going to be sent in to find the other half of this key" I ask while looking around at my surroundings.

"I mean, the more MacGuffins we have, the better."

Miriam draws a gun at Dedric, "That was my reveal! If you steal my moment from me again, I will kill you."

"... But yes, we will have to find someway to traverse worlds if we ever want a chance on getting the other half of this key. This is why I've called you all here." other personel, scientists and engineers continue doing work in the background.

"It's taken us a couple years now, but I believe we've finally developed this." Miriam gestures towards a large metal frame, creating the outline of a door. It's huge and made of metal. "This is how we will enter other worlds, this is our portal. Once we calibrate it, we'll be able to enter any world of our choosing."

Miriam pauses, "That's where you come in."

"We've interrogated a few individuals with servants, much like yourselves. Their servants have knowledge of where we can obtain more information on the Legion Of Man. We know what world this intelligence resides, and we know the Legion Of Man should have no reason to operate there. We are going to send you there to retrieve what we need to know..." Miriam explains

"We haven't fully calibrated it... but it should in theory be operational." Natasha interjects. "We're preparing for your departure as soon as possible. Is there any questions?"

"Since you said "in theory", I assume this means there is a good chance of something worse happening?"

"Damn, alright you can have the spotlight" Something seems a bit odd to me though... like theirs something they're not telling us ... or maybe im just being paranoid I think as I contemplate what she said.

"What are the chances of us ending up in the wrong universe?" I say, mildly concerned

"Adding onto that, what are the chances that we die instantly?"

Miriam rubs her shoe against the ground nervously.

"Yes, there is a chance for instant disintegration with every use. It's very rare and we do not know why. Anyway, we must quickly prepare for you to leave." Miriam gestures towards her left. Jeffery Daniel's approaches her in full SWAT gear.

"I'm here just as instructed ma'am!" he eagerly responds.

"Jeffery will be your only escort in this world. We do not plan for you to stay long, and we do not plan for you to come in contact with anyone. This will be considered a stealth mission. Your goal is to assist Jeffery in retrieving the informating he needs. He will be your leader and you are to follow his every command." Natasha briskly explains.

"You will be wearing clothing and provided equipment." Miriam informs, holding a stealth suit . "Stand off to the side and change into the necessary clothing immediately. We will be ready for you to depart in 10 minutes." she orders.

ÔÇÿChance of disintegration with every used, oh my... better pray to the god then *clap,clap*'

Having a silent conversation with him, I proceed to do what she said, and change into the suit in a room.

"ok, so in this mission we must not blow thing up"

i go put on the stealth gear, then i return

"i'll be as sneeky as a ninja"

"Alrighty then." I think to myself before putting on the suit
