Wither Boss vs. The Ender Dragon

I'm surprised this hasn't been done before.

You could try this in-game via the VSM mod but the issue is, the Wither's AI is programmed to stay above his target. Ender Dragon in 1.5.2 can only ram people, so the Ender Dragon goes up and the Wither goes up aswell. Soon enough they reach world height and the Wither can't go up any higher. But for some reason the skulls despawn, so it's a free win for the dragon.

Fight takes place in the Minecraft overworld unless stomp for Wither.

Ender Drago: 8

More like the dragon never targets the Wither so it's just the Wither chasing the dragon around endlessly and sometimes manages to land a hit, once in a blue moon.

As for the battle itself, the Dragon's wing can counter the Wither's projectiles, thus letting it easily ram into the Wither without much fear of getting hurt. Dragon also has far more mobility and speed.
 
Ender Dragon. She could resist Wither's Death Manipulation and as for it's wither skulls they can be easily reflected back at it.

Actually if you install this nifty little mod called the VSM Mod, it makes it so that all mobs now attack other mobs that are not the same species, whatever. So that makes the Ender Dragon fight.

Issue is AI is dumb.

I think AI's game mechanic but not complete/not pure/not entirely game mechanic because the AI indicate his/her intelligence doesn't mean mobs can't evade/block projectiles or in cqc.
 
If the Ender Dragon can counter the Wither's projectiles, then the Wither has no way of hurting the Ender Dragon. Plus, even if the Wither manages to place the Wither effect of the Dragon, it will have no effect as the Dragon is immune to status effects. And, if the Wither gets too close, he's taking 25 kilotons of damage as the Dragon rams him. The Dragon is also faster, with Subsonic speed vs Athletic Human speed.

The only advantage the Wither has is its heath, 3x more than the Dragon's, and it's attacking strength (15 damage vs 12 damage max). However, like I stated above, these advantages will not come into play, because the Wither cannot damage the Dragon.

My vote is the Ender Dragon
 
While the Dragon CAN counter the Wither's projectiles, it's not automatic. The Wither can still get some hits in. However, those aren't enough to grant it the win.
