Going through TMR's old Creation Trio blogs

And there seemed to be some abilities that we missed.

Keep in mind that the blogs were accepted a while ago and are even in Giratina's profile.

Apparently, Arceus has Type 8 immortality, reliant on his plates. And Gitatina has shown Type 8 via reliance on the DW, through Diamond's small connection keeping him alive.

Dialga and Palkia have sealing, as it wasn't Arceus who banished Giratina. And Giratina is indeed stronger than each of them individually, maybe even together, as I said before.

Arceus has been shown to use moves of all types via plates, even those he doesn't know naturally, and TMR says this confirms him being able to use all moves.

@Ex. While that's true, feats do trump statements, and what was shown trumps Cyrus' hypothesis. While I'm not saying he (Cyrus) has no credibility, which is the exact opposite of true, he could've been wrong.

I think it means well...kinda what you said (though Arceus dying by any means in the verse is a hilarious inconsistency on Pokemon's part), but when Complete Arceus has the plates, then you can't kill him until you either separate them from him or destroy them.

I remember that quote from the 12th movie with Arceus saying that the Plates are part of him. Pretty sure that you destroy Arceus, you destroy the plates.

I believe so.

Fun fact: I also remember TMR saying that Arceus transcends the Creation Trio in the way the CT transcends man, but unfortunately, I couldn't find sources for that.

One more thing, about the Plates of Arceus ... He will not remain alive while the Plates exist, the Plates simply are the source of life of Arceus, they are the ones that keep Arceus alive and complete, but in case the Plates are removed from Arceus physically it will lose vital energy and will get closer to death. Think like a toy of batteries, while the batteries are in the toy it will work, but when the batteries are removed the toy will lose the energy that supported it. The same works with Arceus, in case your Plates are like stacks and while he is with them he will have his vital energy. So it does not work as a Type 8 because Arceus will not exist while the Plates exist, it will simply have vital energy if you are carrying the Plates, but if it is not with them it will lose vital energy.

If Arceus did not need to be with the Plates and even had an existential link with them as the Type 8 proposes he should not be worried about giving Life's Jewel to Damos.
To be fair, the manga kinda is the exact opposite. Arceus had 0 plates and was not dying in the slightest, he even still had more than enough power to simutaneously create all 3 of the sealed trio very easily. The latter could just be apart of the movies hilarious PIS since, well, damos giving Arceus's plates back is an incredibly important part of the plot.

Oh I know that, I was just countering the "Arceus needs the plates to live" stuff cuz that's only in the PIS Jewel of Life movie.

Whether this yields T8 immorality is beyond me.

Actually, I gave it up quite easily the first time around, and didn't care about it. It wasn't until I saw TMR saying it and saw the scan of Arceus spamming moves corresponding to a plate that I brought it up.

Your Gen 7 guys are already 5-B. ovo

Btw, just to set a reminder, don't we have like 3-4 threads on the CT and Arceus with abilities to try and get added too?

If so, I think i'll either make a blog or a new post summing all of that stuff later (after this thread tho so its not cluttered). And a highlight would be good plz so we can get it all settled once and for all.

And in fact this does not prove that Arceus is independent of having the Plates , just proves that even without the Plates he is still a very powerful being. There just is not much PIS to take advantage of the lack of Plates as it was in the anime.
Wait, just seeing this now.

How wouldnt this prove he is independent? Manga Arceus didnt have any plates for centuries upon centuries (basically like in Jewel of Life) and he wasn't at all on the verge of dying, he had as much vitality as he did when having the plates. It just meant he was no where remotely close to being as strong when having them. Its the exact opposite to the PIS movie where even missing 5 of them diminishes his life to a certain extent.

So this has bugged me. Shouldn't the Lake Trio be Acausal?
You were like, two minutes too late lol. But look at the bright side--it means you're smart. Confused? Well, it's simple:

Because great minds think alike, and I'm the epitome of a great mind ovo.

i think that arceus should not have type 8 imortality because "When the universe was created, its shards became this Plate.", so it means that the plates were created after arceus's birth and "The power of defeated giants infuses this Plate." so the power of the plates isn't even that of arceus

That only applies to copy-plates that the player or any one can find in the multiverse to strengthen their pokemon.

The original plates predate the creation of Arceus and the CT/LT so they of course are a part of Arceus.
