Because this match isn't quite going to get attention without a bait title.

Speed is Equal, 7A, yada yada yada, neutral universe cause Type 8

Worst Girl: 0

Best Girl: 6

Inconclusive: 3

If it wasn't for Episode 25 I think everyone would've forgotten Rei ever even existed.

Also worst girl is Maiko Ogure.

At least she realized her mistakes and you know grew.

>2A best Nier girl

>2B exists

I rest my case.

Anyway, we allowing type 8 immortality on this one?

That's.... Skeptical.

Androids do seem to contain blood, but in instances of them losing a limb, they're mechanical, I assume no.

@Gargoyle

It was confirmed in an interview that it isn't blood, it's just a material that happens to look like blood.

So I guess no mind-screw then?

What does 2A usually start with? For characters with heaps of abilities I'd like to hear what among those abilities they start with

A2 has literally never fought on screen with PODs, and the only time she fought with them without player influence was just a random AI.

That said, she is incredibly devoted to killing any machine life on the planet, and her PODs analyze the opponent for her to understand what to do.

Alright. Getting to business. Since Nui and other LF beings are famously known for their regen, let's look at what powers of 2A can go through that regen. Wall of text, since I'm just analysing her power list

Pods

  • Pod A: Gattling. => Not getting through rege
  • Pod B: Capable of producing an energy arc. => Not getting through rege
  • Pod C: Equipped with homing missiles. => Not getting through rege
- Pod programs:

  • R010 Laser: Fires a powerful laser in the direction that the Pod is facing. => Not getting through rege
  • R020 Mirage: Analyzes all enemies in a fixed radius, allowing combatants to deliver a series of deadly slashes to all who are caught within. => If these slashes actually connect simultaneously, then probably getting through her rege
  • R030 Hammer: Summons a mass of energy that unleashes a devastating blow upon its target. => Not getting through rege
  • R040 Blade: Creates a blade and spins the Pod holding it around the player at high speed, wreaking havoc on any enemies it touches. => So, a saw? Then not getting through rege
  • R050 Spear: Produces a mass of energy that sprouts from the ground in the shape of deadly spears. => Spears thrust in 1 direction, so not getting through rege
  • A060 P Shield: Deploys a protective barrier that blocks melee attacks. The shield is strong enough to completely block all melee attacks performed by the enemies and bosses in the game. The duration is dependent on the charge (1 Pod: 4.5s, 2 Pods: 6.5s, 3 Pods: 8.5s). However the shield can be upheld constantly by letting the pods use the single charge version of the program in rotation ("Fast Cooldown" chip is required). => This is useful against Nui who actually is more of a melee fighters. Can it protect 2A from all directions though? Because Nui clones
  • R070 M Shield: Deploys a protective barrier that blocks ranged attacks. The shield is strong enough to completely block all ranged attacks performed by the enemies and bosses in the game. The duration is dependent on the charge (1 Pod: 4.5s, 2 Pods: 6.5s, 3 Pods: 8.5s). However the shield can be upheld constantly by letting the pods use the single charge version of the program in rotation ("Fast Cooldown" chip is required). => Can this block the mind-threads? I just realised that even if Nui can't mindscrew, the thin life-fibers can still mess around with 2A's interior
  • A080 Wave: Generates a powerful shock wave by slamming a Pod to the ground from an elevated height. => Nui can do the same. And can't get through rege
  • A090 Wire: Fires a wire in the direction that the Pod is facing. If it hits a foe, it launches combatant right to the target for an up-close assault. => Regen again...
  • A100 Decoy: Creates an image of the user, drawing the attention of foes and firing upon them with the Pod's ranged attack. => This may be useful unless Nui starts with clones. But again regen...
  • A110 Slow: Creates a field that distorts time, slowing down all enemies that enter its vicinity. The diameter of the field is dependent on the charge (1 Pod: 8m, 2 Pods: 16m, 3 Pods: 24m). The distortion in time lasts for 4.5 seconds. However it can be upheld constantly by letting the pods use the single charge version of the program in rotation ("Fast Cooldown" chip is required). => How slow though? I find this ability the most fascinating. Although if Nui starts with clones, there is a chance of 2A not getting to her before the time slow duratio
  • A120 Repair: Emits a temporary beam capable of healing the combatants as long as they remain within its radius. => This can actually be a double-edged sword if it heals Nui too...
  • A130 Bomb: Throws a volley of small explosive charges over a set period of time. => Rege
  • A140 Gravity: Unleashes a blast that sucks in any enemies in the vicinity. The diameter of the field is dependent on the charge (1 Pod: 6.4m, 2 Pods: 10.4m, 3 Pods: 14.4m). The manipulation of gravity lasts for 4.5 seconds. However it can be upheld constantly by letting the pods use the single charge version of the program in rotation ("Fast Cooldown" chip is required). => This may actually be disadvantageous for her since Nui is more melee type
  • A150 Volt: Restrains and shocks one nearby enemy, causing continous damage over a set period of time. => So a status effect similar to PSN in pokémon? I'm not sure about it having much effect on Nui's regen though. Though paralysis definitely helps
  • A160 Missile: Allows a combatant to ride atop a Pod, rush forward and charge into enemies. => Kinda useless
  • A170 Scanner: Emits ultrasonic waves to scan the surroundings in search of hidden items. => ...
Plug-in Chips
Overall they are simply stat amp, invisibility and passive healing, which can prolong the fight, though if given enough time due to the prolonged fight Nui can target and rip out the chips with threads or her pinky (similar to how she took out Sanageyama's Blade Regalia II).

Weapons
Spears, lances and bracers won't do much to Nui because regen, although the status effect they induce can be somewhat useful against clones. Large Sword prevents dual-wielding necessary to cut Nui from both sides, and Nui can easily answer to those with her Scissor Blade. Dual-wielding small swords is actually the best option. although it definitely won't be easy given Nui's sheer number of clones, and how she easily stopped Ryuko's dual-wielding both Scissor Blades.

Overall I can see Nui taking this with clones, regen, and thread messing with her circuits and chips if mind-screw don't work

1. That's why I asked about how much does 2A slow down time, because if it's so slow it's near time-stop level, cutting from both sides NOT simultaneously in that slowed time would have a similar effect to truly cutting Nui from both sides simultaneously. That's also why I said dual-wielding small swords would have the best effects, instead of large swords, spears or bracers

2. Yeah... when it comes to characters I don't know well their battle experience kinda flies over my head :P

3. I'm talking more about simply spamming clones. There's also the fact she can switch between clones so skillfully, even the E4 mistook her clone for her when they landed the finishing blows.

But I gotta go to sleep now, so if you have anything to talk about, don't expect me to read it the next 12 hours :P

Nice analysis.

1. Pretty close to it yeah. A character can still see bullets moving in the air, but the Characters have an incredibly difficult time to react to you. Problem is applying it, she can only do it by throwing a time grenade or straight up activate it herself.

3. This is true, tho she does have pods that analyze their opponent and has gravity grenades

The time slow is pretty strong, characters which usually have the same speed as you come to near halt (Example Video)

Also, while her regen is pretty strong and reduces the effectivity of some of A2s attacks substantially, since this has SBA victory conditions knocking her out or restraining her (with chains or a continous gravity field) can bring A2 the victory as well.

I think that the 3 pods, the time slow and the decoy program will help A2 take care of Nui's clones.

Repair likely won't help Nui since it is a program designed to fix up android bodies and the shield programs are spherical, so yes they block attacks from all sides.

Spear of the Usurper's Mind Control could be of decent help to A2 (Every successful hit has a chance to mind control the enemy)

A2 doesn't know about the life fibers weakness but I think spamming Nui with attacks during time slow could actually work.

Nui's regen will make this fight quite difficult for A2, but all in all I'm leaning more towards A2 nonetheless.

I vote for 2B via reasons above.

Inconclusive for now as Byakushi is pretty convincing there and i would like to see if he replies further.

Oh great. I'm not getting notifications

Quick fun fact by the way, I suggested this match for the featured matchups thread (tho with 2B), but Scarlet decided on Astolfo instead despite my warning on Verse Equalization.

Just Saiyan :)

Silly Gargoyle. It is a fact Astolfo is best girl in all medias. It is a given battles involving her should be prioritized over simply best vs worst girls battles like this ovo

I'm sorry, are you honestly implying that we should have a best girl die for our entertainment?

Also, any thoughts? Blanked kinda waited on ya.

Obviously sarcasm.

He voted for inconclusive Literally the sentence after.

Sweet, glad to see this get some attention.

Thankfully I know more who can check

Well, I kinda need to agree with Bya, while yes, A2 could try to incap Nui with time-slow-attack-spamming, the problem is how much time A2 will be able to incap her, as Nui not only has LF's Regenerationn which is very fast but also higher Dura, which both can mitigate the damage.

Either way I going with inconclusive, for now.

Regen doesn't help incapacitation

And there's not much of AP difference here.
