Zenless Zone Zero Discussion Thread

Personally, I don't really care much for the engines. As long as I got the Agents themselves, I tend to make do. Speaking of which, I also managed to get Aria awhile back. Now I just gotta get enough to hopefully pull for Nangong Yu and I'll be good for a bit.

a lot of interesting stuff here. youkai working with TOPS, or at least one member of it anyways. seems like we basically have confirmation of roscaelifer being season 3's location. more confirmation of void hunter weapons being directly tied to the creator, and we also got what seems to be a small teaser of sunbringer and more importantly, a teaser of what seems to be the falkenhayn mercenary troupe leader. whether it's actually her or a descendant i'm not sure, but regardless getting teased about two former VHs is pretty damn huge. i've speculated for a bit now that nicole might have some kind of a connection to her, so considering that we got s-rank anby in S1 and now we're likely getting s-rank billy for S2, i wonder if we'll get an s-rank nicole for S3 to round out the hares all getting S-ranks.

in any case, very excited to see the direction season 3 goes for the story

Masked will withhold judgement until they can see what exactly they do.
There is a lot of promising stuff, and they like what they did with Youkai.

A few things that could be added to pages:
When hit, Nicole can do a backflip in order to regain her footing, so a nice Acrobatics addition for her.
Honestly, what ZZZ character doesn't have Acrobatics at this point?​
Snake Thirens can apparently see and track Ether traces.
Cissia spent her bus fare on snacks, but hurried and made it to the interview, which may be a nice travel speed feat (How canon are the interviews?)

Masked probably forgot a few things, so they'll be back if they recall

With hollow zero apparently acting up, I pray this plot line extends till mid way of 3.0.
I’ll be pissed if it only lasts 2 patches.
My favorite aspect of this game, when it comes to lore, is the hollows.
I was massively disappointed in the “hollow zero level threat” the miasma hollow was described at towards the end of that arc (shit so chopped I forgot its name 😭).
I don’t even care about The Creator, or sacrifices.
I need some Ethereal and hollow action that spans for at least a year.

Yeah, the conclusion to Sarah's arc was unsatisfying.
It seems the Creator is going to be somewhat important moving forward, so uh.
Pats for you.
Masked wouldn't mind, as long as they actually bother to make the Creator interesting.
This "Messenger" seems to be at least Void Hunter level, but was honestly still a disappointing avatar for such an important being.
We didn't even get a motive for it.
Masked appreciates the mystery, but they would like some breadcrumbs, at least.

Masked really wants some insight into the origins of the ZZZ world.
What was the Hollow's original purpose?
Why is the Creator so tied to the Hollows, and more specifically, Miasma?
Why didn't anyone correct Aria about "My Asthma"? Knowing what Miasma is would be very important​
Who invented the Shiyu Towers, and how do they convert Ether into energy?
Why can the Belobog Sacrifice merge with machinery?
There's a lot of notes in the Aerospace City, but nothing about the moon. Please tell Masked about what horrible things happened to the moon.
Masked is less concerned with Helios Academy stuff, since Arna will definitely unload some word vomit once she makes a proper appearance.

Also, Masked still really wants to know where Nicole got her Ether weaponry.
It doesn't resemble anything else in the game, and it seems extremely dangerous.

Do note that the pink girl that we seen in this teaser appeared fully in the 2.7 patch so we'll learn more about her in there, filler patch my ass lmfao
 
not sure how many of y'all keep up with ZZZ leaks, but a lot of interesting things have been going on with the 2.8 leaks

confirmation of the wind element making a return + some info/details on all the upcoming season 3 characters (velina, norma, and remielle). remielle is probably gonna be the VH of season 3 if i had to guess, and i think velina and norma are gonna be the first wind element characters, with velina being an S-rank and norma being an A-rank

Masked was joking about how S-rank Billy could have a new attribute
and then of course the new VH character will steal his thunder
It's a vicious cycle

Kind of wonder where Norma is going to rank in terms of tiering.
Masked has been hoping for a sort of in-between tier for characters that are stronger than standard agents but weaker than VH characters.

Side note: Masked does find Electro Lip Gloss to be more consistent for Aria, but that will probably change if they get more copies of Weeping Gemini.

i mean, i think we already have a handful of agents in game that fall into that "sub-VH" tier of being stronger than your average run of the mill agent but being just below VH characters. banyue is the perfect example of that, i'd probably throw the other members of section 6 in there too, and you could probably make an argument for anby and billy being there too if you think they could've actually tussled with section 6 during the 1.4 story (we might get a stronger case for billy being in that tier of power depending on how his S-rank turns out)

not a whole lot from what i can recall, but off the top of my head :

- remielle is confirmed to be a participant in the upcoming hollow championship tournament, and screenshots/renders of her model have already surfaced so we should be meeting her in the upcoming story patch
- norma is the chief technical expert in the special affairs department of marcel group, and verina is her colleague. norma is responsible for research, while verina is responsible for meetings and signing documents, making norma her boss, funnily enough
- cissia and promeia do have history together, it seems as if promeia encountered a young cissia from a long time ago (which also seems to imply promeia being one of the older in-game agents). we don't have the full context but it seems as if cissia was being held captive by abusers only for promeia to come and murder all of the people holding her hostage, which then prompted cissia to run away in fear (which explains why she seemed terrified of her in the 2.7 livestream)
