Zenless Zone Zero Discussion Thread

on a separate note, it's kind of been bugging me for a bit now that the VH tiers aren't upscaling from the banyue feat even though they should. that was something i probably should've taken into account when i made the CRT upgrading them initially but i sorta forgot ngl. that's something that'll probably also have to get sorted out in a new CRT

we curently have the VH tiers (miyabi, yixuan, shunguang) scaling flatly to the banyue feat, but since they should all be stronger than him, they should reasonably upscale from the feat itself. it's just like how they upscale from our current LS value. i guess on their actual profiles you'd probably just write it as "at least 7-C, likely higher" and add a note that they upscale from the banyue feat or something along those lines
 
Also unrelated but i think i just wasted my whole zzz luck for the year
  • Won the 50/50 for Sunna
  • Did a single pull immediately after getting Sunna and i lost a 50/50 with Neko so i now have Aria guaranteed too
  • Got a 3rd copy of S11's W-Engine in the permanent banner also in a single pull, so i now have 3.. which as a completely F2P player im not exactly mad about it lol

It's the first time i've won two 50/50s in a row with a single pull too
 
Masked has a few questions for you all.

1. What is the heaviest fish you can catch? Masked currently has a record of 1992 kg from the T-Bone Shark subspecies. Since the Proxy is a non-combatant, it should scale as a minimum for the majority of the verse. Qingyi and Ben would directly scale, since they participate in the fishing competition.
2. Anton shoving a shipping container could be used as support for his current LS scaling to the Cunning Hares, but he is considered a fitness fanatic in-verse, so is there a more direct way to scale him to the Dead End Butcher feat?
3. Nekomiya Mana successfully overtakes a train, although it was slowing down to enter a tunnel. Lycaon went at top speed to reach the top of the Ballet Twins. Are there any other notable travel speed feats in the verse that aren't currently on the pages?
4. Do we have a speed for the motorcycles used by the Sons of Calydon? It's low priority, but Lucy's chopper motorcycle could probably upscale from the surfboards she modified in Tales of Midsummer Dreams. (Top speed ranged from 183 km/h to 212 km/h, or 113.711 mph to 142.915)

In other news, Masked is struggling in Threshold Simulation. Please send help.

just going off the wiki, it's the whale shark which seems to be able to max out at 2000kg. that'd give class 5 as a baseline LS for the majority of the verse as you said, which is pretty good

anton alongside the rest of belobog was able to hold their own against the unknown corruption complex, a sacrifice that also absorbed three of belobog's heavy duty machinery, so we figured the UCC should at the very least be comparable to the DEB as far as strength goes. there have been recent discussions about categorizing specific factions/agents more accurately rather than just all directly scaling them to one another, but we need more calced feats for that to be possible which we're lacking in atm

i kinda forgot about that nekomata feat ngl. as far as other travel speed feats go the only ones that come to mind for me is miyabi being able to casually run at 200km/h and miyabi also catching all the way up to the proxy in a relatively short timeframe after getting picked up by piper

we don't, no, though that's probably something worth noting. the SoC don't have their motorcycles as part of their standard equipment on their profiles, though that might be something worth adding later down the road in a CRT
 
Good news: Greta's demolition saw has a canon weight of 1,400 kg.
Bad news: That's still lighter than the fish.

For a boring machine, Greta can jump pretty high, so Masked might go and see if they can calculate her LS. The only problem is that Masked doesn't know what kind of boring machine she is. It would scale to the Unknown Corruption Complex after it fuses with her, and by extension Belobog Industries. They may also go look into the other Belobog Smart Machines as well.

Tangent unrelated to scaling: Mystic's match with Margit and Yixuan Shifu has gotten Masked thinking about the ramifications of Ether Corruption is VS matchups.
A Corrupted Ethereal's strength is implied to be related to their strength as a human, but that's not a hard rule. You could theoretically make an opponent much stronger by turning them into an Ethereal. Of course, this only applies to someone who retains their self when transforming, since otherwise transforming into an Ethereal would count as a loss on the wiki.
 
Does ether corruption falls underneath verse equalization?
Iirc ether corruption only occurs when negative either interacts with the positive ether within humans

Masked has never heard of this. Do you know where Masked could find this information? Even machines and food can suffer Ether Corruption, so Masked isn't sure exactly how that would work.

If Ether does exist within all individuals in Zenless, then it would be equalized between verses, and all opponents would be assumed to have some measure of Ether.

I believe it was something stated by Lycaon in 1.7 something about how Ether particles outside the body interact with those inside the body
 
Finally got Aria.
Had to ask the White Star Institute for some funds, but Masked got her.
Definitely not getting the W-Engine though.

Masked didn't actually think they would need to use Electro-Lip Gloss.

Some of it is story-relevant equipment, albeit optional for the majority of characters.
The main problem is that every single character has dialogue for Hollow Zero, which is pretty weird.
What turn of events led them to accept Yuzuha into Hollow Zero, who doesn't even have a Hollow Permit yet?

If you want to be really safe, maybe just Section 6, Yunkui Summit and Obol Squad would have access.
These are the only teams that have solid proof of going into Hollow Zero and having access to Resonium.
Well, also Phaethon, but that's a whole different can of worms.

stuff like resoniums and HZ character specific gear i imagine would probably just fall into optional equipment, although yeah it's a lot to cover and i don't really think they're a high priority atm so i wouldn't really worry about them for the time being

Like, we're an effective member of the investigation team, but there's no way the Cunning Hares are passing a background check

Hollow Zero is such a wacky place
Super dangerous, but there are scientists and a crazy Astra Yao fan running around in there
Also want to see Ju Fufu's adventures in Hollow Zero looking for Yixuan Shifu

It's nice to see the fluff for enemies justifying their toughness with Ether stuff
"Ether-Kinetic Armor" and "modified version of the Mamba-TG3 Bazooka, featuring special ammunition containing active Ether incendiary agents"
Are good explanations for why weaponry in ZZZ would be superior to their real world counterparts

Masked is having a little trouble using her, since they don't have a stunner
Also not really sure how to Basic Attack without triggering Chain, so been playing her pretty poorly

On the topic of scaling:
Greta is a Boring Machine made to excavate tunnels.
Is it reasonable to then scale her weight to smaller tunnel boring machines?
She seems to be missing a cutterhead, so Masked was thinking of using 60 or 160 tons for her assembly.
With her demolition saw, she'd weigh 61.4, or possibly 161.4 tons.
