At least from what we know from Krampus being a circus gang themed, the boss should be based from Ringmaster

Masked really adores both her design and combat style, but definitely won't be pulling for her.
For one, Masked doesn't have a good team for her, and second
Nangong is about to rob Masked blind.

Masked really hopes she is, but honestly Banyue is so unique it's hard to tell.
The only character that has any hope of scaling to Banyue is Aria, and even then there is no direct comparison.

Not even sure she's going to be fighting Cissia, tbh.
She's got the cape and the whole "My job here is done" vibe.
She will probably have the highest human kill count in-story thus far, though (besides maybe Aria).

We're almost into the next chapter, as well as next season in a month or two, so now is actually a good time to start (Aria banner ends today).
In addition, Nangong is a solid banner to roll on, since she's likely to have Longevity on her side. She's going to be a solid part of the meta for Anomaly.

The main obstacles to starting ZZZ are the same as any other gacha.
Clearing story can take a while
and being a new player, you may feel somewhat underpowered.
Masked got lucky and managed to roll a Void Hunter with their starting currency.

Same here, I’m not really a fanservice guy but Promeia is really cute. She’s the only character aside from Burnice that I really wanted to pull based off design alone. But I won’t lose sleep if I can’t get her. Nangong is a must so depending on how those pulls go will decide if I can get Promeia or not, I really don’t want to top up for her.

Masked isn't sure how viable it is, since 40 meters is a long distance, but it's also not impossible.

The Mirage Archer Unit is proficient in multiple attack methods. When facing formidable enemies, it activates excess power output to generate Energy, compressing it into a nearly solid concentrated Energy blade. With highly threatening offensive pressure, it unleashes continuous slashes to sweep the battlefield. When energy reaches its threshold, the light blade enter an overload state, and the escaping energy disrupts enemy movement and reactions, creating an opening for the next decisive assault.

It might only apply to the overload state though, a sort of "maximum output".

Jane Doe is always worth to pull for her animations.
Don't think they're still giving away her free outfit though.
As a useable unit, she's decent, but Masked is waiting to see if they give her any buffs.

Masked has acquired over 50k Polychrome in the 3 months they have been playing.
Masked will say that 30k was acquired "easily": doing story, clearing side content, and some of the easier achievements.

The other 20k required Masked to clear some of the harder content in the game.
Masked isn't sure what skill level is required for this kind of content, so they can't give an objective opinion on it.
Clearing content is easier if you can build a good team, so maybe a Piper and Nangong team would help you.

Note: Piper is only really viable with either Vivian or Nangong. Her ability to trigger Abloom is unparalleled, as she can do it twice with a single EX Special.

Broad advice?
Simply taking your time can make it more enjoyable.
Talk to characters that you are interested in.
Try and interact with prompts in the environment, if you think it would be interesting.
Masked would tell you to stop and "smell the roses", but Masked only stopped to take pictures with the in-game camera (they're kind of addicted).

Each section of the story has its own vibe and direction relating to the characters released at that time.
Some of them aren't going to be as gripping as others.
For example: many people had complaints about Season 2 due to its length and problems with its pacing, but there were still interesting parts to it.
Actually, the fact that it had interesting parts and sometimes failed to deliver on those parts may have been why people didn't like it.

Good news: You can also revisit parts of the story using the in-game tapes.
Masked needed Polychrome and was short on time, so they skipped some parts and had to do that.

it was kinda already talked about but yeah, ZZZ's pretty generous when it comes to pulls especially compared to it's hoyo sisters. if you're not actively pulling for every character that appears on a new banner you should be able to get plenty of polychromes as long as you consistently do events and whatnot

Masked had too little storage on their phone to install ZZZ (maybe they should get rid of FEH, they dont play it anymore)
From what Masked can remember, it was somewhere around 20, maybe 25 GB?
You'll probably want a little more room than that for it to unpack properly.
