So Yukari is apparently resistant to Illusions, Mind Manipulation, and Death Manipulation by resisting the Saigyuo Ayakashi's effect. My question here is why does it say that, when in the Saigyou's profile, it only has soul manipulation, and mind control? And the Saigyou's only deadly ability from it's Notable attacks and Techniques section is draining the life force from others that sleep on it. Shouldn't Yukari be resistant to Mind Control and Life drain instead?

Hmm...After further research, I've failed to find any actual proof of the Tree being able to absorb life force. It seems like the tree only lures dying people under it so it can absorb their blood.

Yukari should still have resistance to Mind Manip via this and her Youkai characteristics though. Illusions is unrelated to this.

I also recall that Death Manip was based on her statement that killing her won't do anything to her (And the logical conclusion that if she found herself in the Netherworld she could just...escape).

Death Manip resist was also based on how she sealed the Saigyou tree, and that to do so she would've had to bypass Yuyuko's ability iirc. Been awhile but Saikou's statement is also true.

That sounds more like just death manipulation, not resistant to death manipulation

Because she can remove the boundary of life and death, allowing herself to be immune to Death manipulation.

Yet in her profile, it's stated that she has time manipulation because she removed the boundaries between Day and night.

Does that prove anything that she's immune to that? No, and it's irrelevant to the topic

Hourai Immortals are boundless of Life and Death as stated in one of the Music CD series and are immune to Yuyuko's power

You just said that she's not resistant to it when she does it, so why can't the same be said for her death manipulation?

Out of curiosity, which CD was that? I was trying to find a source for the Wank-tastic description of Hourai that the wiki had.

Not the same thing that can be applied because you can't be immune to what you said lol

@Glass You do know that boundaries = boundaries between concepts in Touhou, correct? That basically means that Hourai immortals don't have a concept of death.

Well I'm not sure we can assume that Yukari has already done so on herself. The only proof of that would be that Yukari mentions that killing her won't do anything. But it's vague.

Soul Manip on Saiygyou should go though.

Removing the Boundaries=Both concepts applied to you iirc

You are both alive and dead simultaneously.
