Yujiro Hanma (Baki)'s prediction problem

Just got home and lessee....
Hmm... Shibukawa's encounter seems like an afterimage effect/faster than you tbh. I'm a bit more bias to Perception Manipulation than Limited Invisibility?
I would like to point out that the effect was the same as what the couple on the street saw (Baki disappearing save for his feet), but if you want to try for Limited Invisibility, I'll vote for it as well

Honestly? Blurring would be better than becoming invisible if you want to display speed, so I'm just not sure entirely on it. Only going Limited Invisibility since it seems to be like that when defending? Or at least he doesn't appear to move?

Anyway, you fine with no Perception Manipulation? I feel like LI and/or Percept M would work out.

My only real concern is that this doesn't seem to connect to Yujiro.

According to Baki, the reason he actually disappears instead of just moving fast is because he's able to dodge his opponent's line of sight, making him completely invisible to that person

I'm down for either or both

The reason it was accepted is the same reason that Yujiro has Limited Earth Manip, Surface Scaling, and a few other things: scaling from being stronger or faster and more skilled than all the other characters. Basically, it's not that he can, as he hasn't done so, but more so he could if he wanted to, as he's shown to be superior to every other character in everything they do (with the exceptions of Gaia, Motobe, and Musashi with there weapons/weapon simulation perspectively)

Didn't even get notified for this. Knew something was wrong.

If he mentions it's to dodge the opponent's line of sight it feels more liker percetion manipulation to me. Though imo it's fine for both.

I'll hear what everyone else thinks. Should be safe to add but I'd recommend "Limited Invisibility or Perception Manipulation" just to play it safe

Hmm... To me most other techniques would make sense to be in his possession if he's seen them before. But I'm not so sure on the case of Instinctive Reaction if he hasn't displayed it. Even if we say he just doesn't use it due to his dislike of techniques, I feel like we should at least see it used or mentioned once since IR is kind a big deal compared to say a niche ability you avoid using.

I would agree to both Limited Invisibility and Perception Manipulation, but what do you think about how Baki mentions that (at least when he's walking on the street) his body would react on its own? Maybe it could be limited IR? As in it has to be activated like Baki does, making it limited, but it works on punches, kicks, and whatever else he says in his little inner monologue.

I agree with both

I don't think he's ever used Vacuum Palm or Apnea Rush (to my knowledge), but I understand your point and think it should be addressed

I think moving your body aside from your personal will to do so is clear IR, he's not manipulating the vision of the enemy to disappear, no.

It's like saying i have perception manipulation for being able to walk in my toes.

I think it's IR. Though it might have a weird weakness of "Even if the enemy is looking his body reacts on his own" though that's more of a less-combat weakness. If it has to be activated it makes sense for it to be like that then.

Yeah, meant to say more Limited Perception Manipulation since you're affecting what the others see by leaving that afterimagey effect of invisibility. So that's a vote for Limited Invisibility though?

That's a solid vote then.

And checked out Cord-Cut and Benda Whip. Latter talks about how it ignores durability negation but has Baki used it on Yujiro? Or anyone with a higher AP? Pain Inducement may be a bonus for it too but I feel like the argument this whip like attack would work on anyone might not be viable. Or at least the focus is on the pain it deals

Edit - Pain Manip is already there.

Cord-Cut I'm not entirely sure but the wiki makes it out as something that requires to tear flesh on the first place.

Benda Whip can kill via pain. That should qualify it for a form of durability negation even if only limited.

Cord cut is honestly more damage boost than durability negation.

I don't think it's either.

It's not durability negation because you have to "pierce" the opponent's body in order to catch the cord and then cut it.

It's not damage boost because... well, simply not. The power of the attack itself isn't being boosted.

Kosho being able to pierce Baki with it says otherwise. Kosho literally broke his arm punching Baki yet could easily pierce him with cord cut.

Is it under limited durability negation, because I think that would be more accurate. Kosho still had to pierce his skin, but couldn't even so much as damage him without Cord Cut

It can kill via pain? Damn. Then again it might depend on the enemies. Those who can tolerate a lot of pain might shake it off.

Everything else seems alright

Punching and cutting takes different forces. Or at least it's easier for some to stab than to punch if that's the condition for Kosho. A knife would probably break from impact on a blunt end instead of the stabby end. Maybe Limited would be safer though.

Exactly, hence why it's only limited durability negation. If someone doesn't feel pain or has extreme pain tolerance like Yujiro, they won't die from it.

I'm fine with whatever is decided for cord cut.

Makes sense to me then. Though I feel like anyone with immense durability gap over Yujiro wouldn't feel it, but that's likely not gonna happen too much. Voting Limited

Yeah just see it as more AP for piercing and less for striking.

Edit - Oh god I can post again
