Which one introduced you to the genre, which one did you start with, which one got you hooked, and which one fully cemented you as a fan?

For me:

First encounter: Black Butler

Starter show: Soul Eater

Hooked: Gurren Lagann

Cementation: Hellsing Ultimate and A Certain Magical Index

Cementation: Both

I'm sorry but this was me as a kid and that was practically what i got :p
 
First encounter: Digimon and Pokemon

Starter Show: Dragon Ball and Naruto

Hooked: Bleach and One Piece

Cementation: Don't remember binge watched way too many animes after Bleach and One Piece.
 
In all seriousness though:

First encounter: RWBY

Starter show: RWBY

Hooked: ERASED

Cementation: Mirai Nikki

Anime for all of them because mangas are for f*cking nerds ovo
 
First encounter: Digimon, I think? Memory is pretty fuzzy going that far back. Either that or Dragon Ball Z.

Starter show: Hetalia or Keroro Gunso. Don't judge me.

Hooked: Soul Eater.

Cementation: Either Digimon upon my rewatch in 2014 or Summer Wars.
 
First encounter: Pokemon (I was young.. well still am)

Starter show: The legendary DBZ

Hooked: Sekirei (yall should watch that show)

Cementation: Sora no Otoshimono (It's a good show and think everyone should watch it.)
 
First encounter: I don't stinking remember. Mom has been watching anime ever since my tiny brain could retain memories, so trying to pinpoint it would be impossible.

The awakening: Dragon Ball XenoVerse. This is what really steamrolled me into the anime community.

The shining star: Gurren Lagann. My fanboyishness for this goes so far I legitimately prefer it over Cowboy Bebop, although it's a small gap because Cowboy Bebop is really really good.

Starter Show: Probably some trash. Kämpfer or something.

Aside frome that too fluid to tell.


To aru, zero no tsukaima and hidan no aria got me into lightnovels, though.
