So in game, enemies as weak the Sectoids are 9-A for being able to destroy tanks if their fire happens to miss and hit one by chance.

I know we can't use "X" damage when comparing how lethal something is, but it really bugs me that their Plasma Pistols are able to do this, yet they have the same lethality as XCOM's equivalent of Assault Rifles (Which are 9-C). At the very least, all plasma weapons are capable of destroying in game cover so they are at least 9-B.

Another problem is that the Sectopods are far greater in terms of firepower compared to the Sectoids, yet their firepower is rated the same as Sectoids (Currently).

Do the Sectoids (And the units that scale) need to be downgraded?

Do the Sectopods need to be upgraded?

Hmmm this sounds more like we should upgrade the Sectopods, as we generally take higher end feats and considering how XCOM's weapons are somewhat more futuristic, it is possible that the basic weapons are somewhere near that weapon, allowing an "At most 9-A". Or it just happens to vary with weapons, and that the most basic versions of the AR are "At least 9-C" with more advanced weapons having an "At most 9-A"

How high for sectopods?

Should I make a list of all vanilla weaponry (Used by XCOM and the enemies) and tier them in power levels that are about the same (For both XCOM EW/EU and XCOM2)?

I would put the vanilla weaponry list of weapons in their standard weapons key, but mostly the notable ones.

However, tiering them precisely is pretty hard in games, so I would just put "Varies, at least 9-C to at most 9-A".

So, keep the current stats an upgrade the Sectopod to?

kk, thanks for the help. You can close this now, unless you want to talk about formatting a page for the XCOM soldiers (Normally I wouldn't ask for help, but considering how many variables there is to add, and how badly things can go...).

Here's the problem (This is just for the first game btw):

XCOM EU/EW:

So how should I format this "character"?

Yeah that might cause problems due to the branching trees. Uh...would it be safe to composite all the abilities for each respective class or is that not feasible?

So assume that:

  • It's all four classes
  • Has no exceptions (like MECs not being able to have psionic abilities)
  • Can have all equipment at once
  • Has all upgrades
  • Is the highest rank
  • Has all weapons and armours equipped

What about the XCOM 2 version? Separate profile?

Kk, you can close this now. Thanks everyone for the help!
