  • Honestly, probably. We're still discussing stuff like size and AP for the heavy tiers. Like finding a replacement for the leviathan calc ap results currently. Friend of mine promised me to get some results of battlecruiser ramming which is useable as the battlecruiser white star was able to survive it and stay functional.

We already have the old nydus worm ap calc approved from years ago and I'm still waiting to this day for someone to nice my other 2 8-B calc requests/blogs. Easy lower end scaling for infantry is 9-B via Hydralisk bite force statements. Currently the only useable and approved infantry calc is only the nydus worm calc as the rest were never approved and noticed as far as I'm aware. I plan to likely make many of the infantry to light/medium units as "At least 9-B, possibly/likely 8-B."
I definitely agree with replacing the leviathan calc considering the fact it's based on game mechanics.

I went through the thread but I'm still confused, what is the scaling for Nydus worms, vaporization of Marines, and phase disruptors? And by that I mean, what other things scale to their feats and why? I looked at the marine vaporization stuff though and I think it's flawed because I didn't see anything about Banelings actually vaporizing marines, just looked like they blew the marines up. The marines' bodies were disintegrated but that's just game mechanics (game can't keep track of bodies so it just disappears them, common non-canon game mechanic)

StarCraft doesn't focus on military realism because its story, characters and themes are the main focus so we get many cases like this.

It's much more lenient in magical elements for its militaries than something like Star Wars, Mass Effect and Halo.

OK cool, if a Baneling can vaporize siege tanks, bunkers, and stalkers, then please give sources for this instead of fallaciously arguing that they can vaporize marines just because one drop of their acid can destroy a marine.

The wiki only says that a Colossus can incinerate marines and turn them to ashes, which is still very impressive and would scale very high. What does this even scale to though?

Could you actually give sources for all this scaling? And the Nydus worms not having weak spots?

If it's so inconsistent, the tiers should be variable too shouldn't they? That is, if the profiles have ANY situations where they scale to a certain tier at all.

That's literally my goal though. I'm trying to make it variable by making stuff like "At least 9-B, possibly/likely 8-B" "At least 7-C, possibly/likely High 6-A" and etc.

Colossus incinerating marines are just the base of their powers and they are heavy tier so they should scale to thors and ultralisks. Something like 8-B Colossus are pretty wack as they're in the same categories as heavies like Reavers, Ultralisks and Thors.

How about you give me sources for Nydus Worm weakspots? They literally don't exist and the field manual even says they're not that durable despite the raw physical power they have to forcefully ram themselves and dig underground at large and rapid paces as marines still easily penetrate them. Stuff like the Frontline comics and novels like Shadow of the Xel'Naga have marines physically shoot and tear apart Dragoons. Marines do the same to Goliaths. Zerglings do the same to vehicles like Dragoons. Firebats can also kill Dragoons. Just 2 Dragoons did this much damage to all these enemies. already Examples like those pretty much are the reason for my "At least 9-B, possibly/likely 8-B" scaling for stuff like infantry to light/medium vehicle tiers.

Roaches which can easily vaporize the bottom half of a marine and eat matter molecule by molecule and Mutalisks who can destroy neosteel building floors and melt through marine armor have weaker acid than banelings that are so powerful that even a drop of its acid destroyed an entire room and sent a marine suit heavily damaged flying all the way to the next room. A single one can shake an entire hollow tall skyscraper and even destroy a dropship. Even Protoss mechanized units like Stalkers and Immortals aren't safe when they get direct hits. They're so notorious in the sector that the Terrans even made anti corrosive sprays to try and mitigate the damage they inflict from their explosive acid.
Continuing the topic here so that DDM doesn't get bogged in their message wall

Gauss Rifles are above Marine armor yeah, Marines can take a couple hits from Gauss Rifle fire because the suits are also designed to withstand Marine caliber weaponry due to them being built around the gun but are ultimately inferior as armor piercing and sustained fire kills them so they tend to hide in cover or armor up with shields.
IIRC Marine Armor can take glancing hits from the 8mm spikes (As what happened when Raynor blocked Tychus' shot with his pauldron which spun him around) but never direct hits as those seem to always penetrate the armor (As what happened with the Gauss Pistol Mike used on Duke's Armor, and what happened against the Marines onboard the Bucephalus when being boarded by Raynor and Tychus, as well as the Umojan Marines vs Dominion Ghosts either using C-10 Rifles or AGR-14 rifles)
Immortals also have the same physical durability as Dragoons outside of their special super shields. So it check outs that Zerglings can kill them.
I think that's a given since IIRC Immortals are just modified Dragoon platforms after the fall of Aiur.
For the whole hydralisks and stuff being immune to gauss rifle fire, I honestly just fix the inconsistency by saying that everyone just improves their tech and stats overtime.
Hydra's aren't immune to gauss weapons it's just that their heads and claws are just tougher in comparison to the rest of their body (which makes sense since they're what they use to brute force and tear through the ground, steel walls, and armor). And by technicality a Hydra did survive a HEV round to the head from Raynor's HEV rifle, it died from the bullet detonating in its head. HEV rounds and the Mk. 12 Penetrator rounds aren't the same thing.
Hey do you know the sources of these compiled feats from this thread? Specifically the feats that have broken scans.

I haven't read all of that comicvine thread but those Gauss Rifles scans are from the book Liberty's Crusade as far as I know.

Do you know from which sources these feats come from in the linked Respect Thread? IIRC the first two seem to come from StarCraft Frontline, Marines vs Dark Templars, while the third one, about the ghosts, is the one I have no clue about.

1 • Cloaked attack on a small squad of marines

2 • The visors pick up the slightest amount of movement, and they are able to kill the cloaked attackers

3 • Surrounded by cloaked Ghosts, and a marine is able to make out locations by just sounds of voices and muzzle flashes to land kill shots on completely invisible opponenets

    1. Cloaked attack on a small squad of Marines was during StarCraft: Uprising

    2. That's actually not the visors alone during that Dark Templar assault, they called a scanner sweep from a command center first a panel or so before in order to get their visors to register the Dark Templar

    3. Also Uprising and that's more of a skill feat from an individual person rather than the Marines in general tbh

Infested Kerrigan actually has it, just not the "I literally make a Queen Larva out of thin air" Pre-Primal HotS Kerrigan pulled

    Probably, I'll add it lol

I'm not sure if we can add in the Implosion lifting feat from the games that pulls down even Battlecruisers, but they should have at least class 100 for lifting a siege tank and throwing it at Tosh since modern tanks like the Abrams weigh around 60 tons.

Hypersonic also scales to her Ghost self btw since Nova can do it as a human because she reacts to Hypersonic bullets.
