Wiki Vandalism Reports

This person has posted the same rejected profile seven times despite being asked not to. This is their own character as far as I can tell, and trying to post this page is literally all they're doing on the Wiki.

Also, possible sock puppet.
Seems the latter has been globally blocked across Fandom. Unsure about the sock connections, but I think they earned a block if they keep making the nonsensical pages despite repeated warnings.

Based on their previous message wall conversation, they seem to be confused rather than ill-intended, so I gave a final warning message to them. 🙏

Hello, everybody.

Given my recent experiences, I have the impression that the member @Jason_Voorhees1986 is extremely untrustworthy and has had a longterm campaign to manipulate our The Dark Tower statistics to become completely unreliable.

Some months ago, he pretended to have committed suicide after a series of suspicious extreme Dark Tower revisions.

Then a "new" wiki member account recently began to obsessively attempt to change the statistics of the pages of that verse:

Then the original Jason account quickly returned, suddenly not dead after all, and attempted to coerce me to let him further change the Dark Tower pages again, and wanted me to cover up the evidence of him having faked a suicide in the process, and despite not being allowed to do so, he very significantly edited the tiering cosmology information in our The Dark Tower verse page, and when I finally mentioned that I found him very unreliable, he very quickly deleted our discussion thread, and he has likely edited his message wall posts to me there as well, so I encourage our staff members to take a look at the post history sections where it is warranted.

As such, I think that this person is a habitual extreme liar and manipulator who obsessively attempts to exaggerate the Dark Tower statistics by any means available whatsoever, and as such should be considered as being extremely unreliable, have his past revisions inspected and likely reverted, and have all his accounts in our community permanently banned.

Your attention is likely needed here.

I will also ask directly ask a Fandom staff member for overlaps between the two accounts linked above, even though this seems like a quite self-evident case. 🙏

I remembered when he made a last edit a while back, and I have said that I was not happy about that either way. Basically I'd either be deeply saddened if it was real given how serious suicide struggle is, but on the contrary, infuriated if it was a fake out. As faking a suicide victim status is not only an Sera Ex levels of guilt tripping, but downright disrespectful to everyone who has experienced genuinely struggling with it. And it goes without saying that I'd support a permaban for all accounts. Though I am neutral on the Dark Tower revisions but lean towards having a grain of salt with the things he contributed to.

I received a reply regarding overlaps between these two accounts:

"Hi,

I see one matching IP among many on both accounts. I don't see any matching account information and neither appear to be blocked on the wiki (or any other wiki, fwiw)"

🙏

The Dark Tower verse needs really good and knowledgable members not like this guy. He even told me that only knowledgeable members are only allowed to edit the Dark Tower Profiles (he also said to me to not touch the golden frame), but when I said if he likes dark tower or stuff, he said the opposite. (Bruh, who would someone be knowledgeable of a verse they hate on???!?!?!)

I'd like to report this account, this account obviously had a blatant vandalism on the message wall and he does the same thing 2 times by ADDING BACK Raiden's CM1 on the notion that it "wasn't accepted" despite the staff having no contentions with it whatsoever (Vietthai96 stated I have to get what Firestorm thought with CM2 and he clarified that it should be Limited, in which then I applied the CM1 removal from Ei's profile and everything related to it, and the CM2 being limited too)

I was not involved in this matter; I presume my inclusion here is because I recently added myself as a supporter of the verse. I enjoy the novels, but have not finished them, and have little interest in discussing their contents in regards to higher end tier stuff here.

I remember the mention of the suicide clearly. Given the incidents outlined by you that happened afterwards (likely creating a sock, then returning to claim that it was a joke after going radio silence), I agree that it is likely manipulative behavior.

I cannot speak on the ratings themselves. For now I would at least agree with a ban, as the suicide thing mixed with the sockpuppet creates a particularly abysmal situation. You did not state a timeframe, though my impression is that this proposal is permanent, and I accept it under those terms.

Thank you for your reply, and yes that is why I pinged you. However, do we have sufficient evidence for banning both of these accounts? 🙏

The Jason Vorhees account, I feel no doubt regarding. That sort of behavior is questionable even without the sockpuppeting. Regarding the "Yeah boy" account, is it common for one IP overlap to exist? Would you and I experience that sort of thing, or is it an anomaly that truly suggests sockpuppeting? Based on activity, I agree that it is likely, but I am aware that IPs are finnicky.

Well, if this member uses a VPN, IP address overlaps would be rare, except when they forget to use it or switch quickly between different accounts, which would explain a single overlap. 🙏

So what should we do here? 🙏
