Why is MCU Doctor Strange so low tier?

Did he even damage Thanos?. From what I can recall, they fought but that doesn't mean he'd instantly scale unless he actually effected Thanos or other 6-C characters. I don't remember the movies to well so I'll wait for more input.

Long story short, while he did match Thanos with 4 stones, it was only due to hax. And he never damaged or even restrained Thanos. Especially considering that each stones don't really have a fixed AP and are all hax based.
