Why is Android 17 Large Star level?

The justifications for that stat are that he's stronger than Piccolo and Frieza, yet the page for Frieza lists him as Star level at max (where did that stat come from, btw?) and the page for Piccolo scales him to Large Star for being on par with Android 17.

IIRC Final Form Frieza is Star level because his first three forms are already pretty high end Small Star level+. 17 is Large Star level because the difference between the lowest and highest bounds of regular Star level is only ~2x. Something like that.

Actually it's the same thing with 18 as well. Both her and 17 are Large Star level.....yeah.

The one thing I did find odd and change though is that 19 and 20 were also listed as Large Star level, despite there being nothing to suggest them being at least twice as strong as full power Frieza, so I moved them to Star level.

to be fair, that description/reasoning for them could probably have been better, like being Superior to SSJ Goku, Trunks, or Vegeta at the time.

Do you mean for 17 and 18 or for 19 and 20? Because 19 and 20 were vastly inferior to full power Super Saiyans.

Someone might want to add in the "twice as strong" bit to that though in the justifications.

For example on Vegeta's page it could be "Large Star level, increased to Large Star level+ (at least twice as powerful as Frieza, who was near the cap of Small Star level)

Um, 30% of a difference is enough for a serious beatdown like the one Vegeta and Trinks got, 2x is a bit much for 17 and 18.
