Why are tier 2 and up characters locked?

It doesn't really make sense, as all it does is constrict editing to a select few, negating the purpose of a wiki. If the character's hated or argued over, sure, but what about characters who simply are tier 2 or higher? Is it just restriction for the sake of restriction? Can we change this?

Because they usually have Attack Potencys that people usually don't agree with, sometimes people might think because someone destroyed a timeline, they are Tier 0 since time is infinite.

Because they're more complex and people often don't understand their tierings

Because Tier 2 is when things start to get complicated and require a bit more discussion.

IIRC the fact that it showed itself that unlocking the profiles for legitimate edits to be made would take less work than to monitor and reverse the not legitimate ones also played a role in locking them.

All of the above, isn't that why we shouldn't lock these profiles? If someone mistakes a 2-B for a 1-A, or something where the lines get hazy, or an update occurs, shouldn't the swiftest possible corrections happen?

Admins are more active on the wiki than normal users. Admins can edit it.

Admins can handle the corrections.

For higher tiers, the reasonings behind them turns more complex, and the rankings far more controversial. As such, we keep them locked to avoud constant vandalism and edit wars.
