why are there two different versions of alien x?

i know pretty much nothing about ben 10, but i was curious about this. in alien x's profile, there are two pictures of him. theres a more lean one, and a more bulky one? why is this?

what's the difference? is alien force alien x stronger than the omniverse version? do they have different powers? or are they the same alien x just drawn differently.

They appear to be from different series within the Ben 10 franchise.

Ironically, it is suggested that Alien X changed the art style of the show from the original to Omniverse.
