You see her bowtie and hairband? The black thing on her hair? Very cute! Adorable even! It is a genius design since it makes her so recognizable. Youmu can wear any other clothes, but her bowtie on her hair makes her incredibly recognizable. You can recognize her from everywhere, in fact, Youmu wouldn't be Youmu if she didn't have a bowtie.
And her silhouette? Amazing, recognizable. You can tell who Youmu is just by looking at her shadows, and that's really cool, impressive even.
Her color scheme is also really great, simple yet good-looking. There is no color bloat, no color vomit, it's simple yet stylish.
You could squint and recognize Youmu, that's how good her color scheme and design are. It's also simple but amazing, which is really good since it's not simple and bland enough to be forgettable, but simple enough to be instantly recognizable.
That flower in her scabbard? Amazing, stylish, adorable. Do you think your favorite character can swing swords while protecting a flower in their scabbard? They cannot, but Youmu can.

You're right, anyway, it seems Youmu just stomps Goku black. I don't see anything on his profile that could counter a spam of danmaku that would one shot him.

Have you tried giving yourself a haircut? It's really hard. Even when I do it, I have to ask someone else like my mom to shave the rest of the hair because I don't have a mirror to see all the places I can't reach.

I played 17.5, 8, 15, 13 and 19 (19 is a crime against human rights btw). I ended up not liking the series that much tbh.
