What's the deal with Dragon Ball lifting strength?

I was reading through some of the main canon Dragon Ball pages and I noticed a lot of them have Unknown listed for LS. I don't really get it, why is it so hard to figure out their lifting tiers?

(I apologize if the answer is obvious, I don't look at discussion threads and CRTs very often so I might have missed it)

Its probably because the series is so long that people forget the lifting feats. Android 17,goku and a few others who i forgot resisted a black hole

I think it’s due to the inconsistencies.

Like Kid Goku performing a Class 100 feat but characters that are thousands of times stronger struggling or failing with weights that they should be able to lift effortlessly.

Disguising underwhelming feats are lack of feat if you ask me. Although, one could get a "decent" number from the Zarbon-like man from DBS, he lifted a building.

Pretty much what everyone else said.

Toei,GT,Heroes, and the Super manga all have lifting tiers

But Canon Dragon Ball becomes lack of and inconsistent after they reach the 100 tons. I guess we could just scale from the original series

Yeah, that's one thing I was wondering about. Because shouldn't "At least Class 100, likely far higher" suffice for a while?
