What type of Immortality is this?

According to Professor Knowby, the first few pages of the book warn that Deadites are never truly dead, and can be returned to active life through recitations in the Necronomicon.

It doesn't seem like type 8, because they aren't actually reliant on the Necronomicon to survive, just to become active.
 
The "never truly dead" part, to me, suggests Type 5 (Deathless) and they just can't regen physical bodies without the Necronomicon.
