@Crab Something being a theory doesn't discredit it, and technically it is more of a hypothesis. The theory actually specifies that if simulation on our scale isn't possible, then great, problem solved. Or, if they simply choose not to simulate on our scale, then again, great, problem solved. But the 3rd alternative is that if it is at all possible, then we basically have a 1 in some unimaginably high magnitude of a number of actually being the real universe
