A single slash from any of Vergil's attacks ends the fight there, combine that with his versatility, incredible skill, and his variety and mastery of multiple weapons along with Devil Trigger Attacks and he takes the win.

Souei can use clones and afterimages with real presence and mass as decoys, while he moves in the shadows, and he is pretty versatile too, he can use poisons, paralyze people, has corrosive breath that corrodes whatever it touches and his most deadly is his one hit kill technique which targets the soul and destroys it.

He can also manipulate threads and use the threads to stimulate the pain and blessing pleasure of people's brain.

Clones are nothing new to Vergil as he's dealt with those from Dante. Rest you mentioned seems okay but ultimately my vote remains the same.

Also, stealth against Vergil is virtually impossibke due to his ability to feel his surroundings, both Dante and Vergil on multiple occasions casually block attacks from demons that don't appear unless they're less than a yard away.

Souei unique skill assassin makes his one hit kill hard to evade, as long as you aren't conscious of where the real souei is, he has a 100% chance of landing his one hit kill.

Being able to feel your surroundings doesn't help against this skill, that is a basic skill everyone in the series has, you need ridiculous perception like benimaru who can comprehend the entire theater of battle by viewing the entirety of space and sub-space at once, so once he has perceived an opponent, he will not lose them even if they are but a shadow in sub space, you need something like that to be able to detect souei.

1. If he needs to be aware of where he is then Vergil's completely fine in this regard because unless wherever their fighting has some serious places to hide Vergil can Devil Trigger and teleport to his location.

Also, what stops Vergil from phasing out and doing judgement cuts or teleporting above him to do a helm breaker?

He basically hides in the shadows, and teleportation works both ways here, souei can move in the shadows and teleport to people, also has spatial travel which allows him to shift to a recognized coordinate.

If souei deploys clones and afterimages and the real one teleports to vergil, vergil can't stop souei as his one hit kill isn't a physical attack but a spiritual one which kills souls, vergil can likewise teleport and one shot with yamato, this really goes both ways imo.

I have no idea what doppelganger does, but i just explained how souei's ability works, while he uses his clones and afterimages as decoys he moves around in the shadows, if he wants to he can teleport to his opponent, and then one shot them with one hit kill which kills their soul.

Does? Doppleganger is shadow boss that uses shadows to blend in with the background, Dante and Vergil respectively are far above said enemy.

Souei ascends way beyond anything that the Devil May Cry characters can do in later arcs of the Tensura light novel, Vergil loses to much weaker enemies than Souei, if you are counting the first anime season version Souei is still powerful but has not reached the peak at this time.

Yeah honestly Souei stomps the verse pretty much post-Benimaru ascescion era, Vergil can't even defeat the weak characters of his own world like Dante and the powerscaling in Devil May Cry is a lot lower in general, he would never stand a chance against the ridiculous powers that Rimuru's servants obtain later.

This is 2 years old, Souei isn't even the same tier he was in this match as far as i remember.

I am closing this.
