Lets say the main source material is just a game and a trailer comes out for its release

The trailer is also purely a CGI/animated one, but is not a story but random sequences

Can we still use feats from that?

Depends on the context of that trailer. If it's a trailer that's providing lore to back up the main game, I'd say it should be fine.

Assuming that there is nothing contradicting the actuaI story in it Iike something too metaphoricaI, it shouId be fine
