Ah I dont think so, that is 2X gap, even 1.2X gap is seen as too much for upscaling

yup, a perfect example would be OPM
Tatsumaki stomps orochi, saitama stomps tatsumaki.
and it was a 1.18X difference for upscaling and it was argued. so you can imagine a 2X diff
