Unofficial Powers and Abilities Addition Thread Infinite

It's kind of been bugging me for some time, how come we don't have soul/mind destruction listed on the respective soul and mind manipulation pages as a subset? Similarly to how weapon mastery has marksmanship listed as a sub power, I think there is a clear enough distinction between manipulating a mind or soul vs destroying one (not enough to create an entire new page) but specific enough to warrant it having some sort of sub segment I feel. Any thoughts on this?
Bump

Should there be an ability focused on stealing resistances? Instead of abilities.
Can't see why you'd need that. Power Mimicry and Power Absorption would be fine; if there was ever a need to, a profile could just specify that it copies/takes resistances in the P&A section

I mean even power nullification is considered to be different than resistance negation.

Resistance Negation just Power Nullification that aim specifically at resistances. Actually it is another section of Power Nullification nowadays

Should there be ability for paradoxial existence? Like being intangible/abstract but at the same time, doesn't.

What about Combat Tactics?
Intelligence/Weapon Master/Martial Arts

Picking up a random weapon and using it. Also, it could be a rock to throw or anything.
Weapon Mastery/Marksmenship

Taunting an opponent to gesture, remark, or insult to annoy or enrage their opponent.
Social influence

Bloodlust.
Vague but Im just going to assume you mean Rage Power

Theres already a standard tactics section, anything else can just be listed elsewhere.

What about this?

Unlock Potential

The ability to unlock an individual's dormant power, or the condition of having one's latent power drawn out.

This is not Statistical Amplification, as the boost is permanent.

This is not a transformation, as there is no physical change—only a power boost.

Types:

1. Power Unlock:
This ability specifically awakens a person's hidden potential by actively drawing out their dormant strength, enabling rapid and significant increases in power.

2. Potential Unleashed: This refers to the sustained, empowered condition in which an individual's dormant power has been activated and is now continuously accessible.

The ability to unlock an individual's dormant power, or the condition of having one's latent power drawn out.
Awakened Power.
There is also another common sub-ability, which is called Awakened Power. It is a sudden burst of power triggered by sheer determination or a powerful emotion.
It was removed and subsumed under Stat Amp for some reason.

Awakened Power
No its not Awakened Power. That ability is temporarily amp that is only trigger by sudden burst of power triggered by sheer determination or a powerful emotion. All the physical/mental abilities get heightened for a short amount of time, frequently followed by a period of exhaustion or vulnerability.

Again, my propose abillity simply are for example:

A can unlock B's hidden power, which B can use permanently without any drawbacks. If B has no hidden power, nothing happens.

Example: Elder Kai, Gran Elder Guru

B's hidden power is now unlocked, allowing them to use it permanently without any drawbacks.

Example: Ultimate Gohan

Wait Awakened power was considered a temp amp all this time??
Guess I learned something new today.

Never knew that either.

We could update Awakened Power to include people who've had their potential unlocked and then make a Unlock Potential page for users who can unlock these powers for other people. It is a common enough ability that I do feel quite a few pages would have it, especially Shonens.

It is redundant in my view to make an Unlock Potential page, this feat could either be under Power Bestowal or Power Modification depends on context

Are you looking for Power Modification?
Thats not Power Modification. Power Modification is able to change the function of an ability in some shape or form, such as turning superhuman strength into superhuman speed. It should be noted that users must be able to interfere with the nature of the ability itself for this to be listed in their profile.

  • "Power Modification is the ability to alter, interfere with, or modify other powers."
Amplifying and/or unlocking one's latent potential is an example of modifying one's powers. If you have any level of strength or any number of abilities lying within you, and then said strength or abilities are effectively forced to awaken, then your powers were modified; your powers were locked, and then they were unlocked. Simple as that.

How are we supposed to index someone putting their soul that was ripped apart back together? Just Regeneration? Restoration?

Isn't Power Mod what we use to classify erasing powers too?
No, erasing power is power null

Depend on what method was used to put the soul back together, if there is no elaboration, just NPI and/or Soul hax

I don't mean erasing something like fire manip, I mean erasing more physiology based "powers", like if character A becomes a 5th dimensional existence and character B can turn them back into a 3 dimensional one, iirc something of that nature is better listed as power mod rather than power null

That is dimensional manipulation, not power modification
