When the focus of a story centers around a particular character, that character tends to have the most development over any other characters around them in that universe. And while this is certainly true for the two characters featured today, sometimes it's a good thing to look towards the beginning of these characters' stories, to see how these now well-known characters got their start. So, which of these two characters shall prove their might early on in their journeys? Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Tsunayoshi Sawada from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, and in the red corner, we have Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach.

ICHIGO
-This is a battle to the death or incapacitation. No holds barred.
-Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.

-Neither character are allowed outside help.

-The battle takes place I need Karakura Town, giving Ichigo the home field advantage.

-This is a battle between Varia Arc Tsuna, and Soul Society Arc Ichigo, before he achieves Bankai.

-Speed is equalized.

With all that being said, let the debate begin!

Tsuna: 8 (Hst master, Calaca Vs, Litentric Teon, AstralKing7, YungManzi, Dat Dot, Xanxussama1010, Veloxt1r0kore)

Ichigo: 0

Inconclusive: 1 (KazuiK)

Note: "And please guys, don't get too salty here. I know this is a fight between two really notable main characters, but let's attempt to behave like adults. Okay?"

I'm not too familiar with KHR, so what can Tsuna does in his Varia Arc form? And how high is his AP?

He can uses both versions of Zero Point Breakthrough, the 1st edition which freezes an opponent and can't be melted wothout DW Flames and his version which absorbs energy attacks and converts it into his own, plus his usual Pre Cog with HDWM

His AP is Low End at about 12 Kilotons

Interesting. So as long Ichigo doesn't have DW Flames he can't break the Ice?

Their AP gap is quite high tho, 5 times. So both can technically "one shot" each other Tsuna with Zero Point Breakthrough and Ichigo can oneshot with almost any attack.

Both can dodge each other's attack, Tsuna with precog and Ichigo with his standing on the sky stuff.

I'm gonna vote for Inconclusive for now.

Tsuna takes ichigo energy and uses it to power up and freeze him forever and Tsuna has precog. Tsuna could probably turn him to stone with Nat-su lol and Tsuna has more long range attacks like burning axle and big bang burning axle

Okay, I'll accept Dat Dot's vote for Inconclusive, but I don't know if Astral voted, so I'm not speaking for him just yet.

Now that you mention it yeah, There's similarity between reiatsu/reiryoku and dying will flames.

From KHR wiki: "The Dying Will Flame is described as high-density form of energy that is refined from one's own life-force."

And reiatsu is spiritual energy. Hmm, interesting.

They should be equalized otherwise there's a thing like reiatsu crush.

IIRC the reason why there's no One Piece vs Bleach thread is because we can't equalized Haki and Devil Fruits to Reiatsu and One Piece character will get reiatsu crushed.

Is reishi equalized to dying will flames here?
Should be, but even still it can only be melted via outside flames, the point of the technique was that it sealed and froze the opponent and rendered them unable to use their flames (or energy cuz verse equalization)

there is actually more to the Ice of that attack. The zero point breakthrough allows Tsuna freeze someone in ice that can only be melted by his sky flame or another user, so this skill is really one of the most overlooked in verse.

AstralKing made the point I was going to make here. Tsuna has the ability to freeze Ichigo's Getsuga tensho right in its tracks under verse equalization. As well as absorb it to add it to his own strength, increasing his AP, speed, and durability. Not to mention that Tsuna can freeze Ichigo himself, and likely Zangetsu as well. Ichigo has the AP advantage here, but his range is nulled by Tsuna's absorption/ice hax. I don't believe that AP alone is enough to take down Tsuna, given that he can not only bridge the gap, but has a bit more versatility than Ichigo.

My votes lies with the Hitman.

I really would like to know if Astral is voting or not. I can't really add his opinions as a vote for him until he says so.

(Just wanna be careful.)

I honestly didn't know well about Tsuna, but iirc Ichigo can one shot him with his AP who is 5x stronger than Tsuna, not to mention he have some of speed amp here.

^Which is why I vote inconclusive.

Ichigo's AP and Dura is scaled to 61 Kilotons while Tsuna 12 Kilotons.

A big gap, so Ichigo can tank most of Tsuna's attack barring the zero point (I guess) which we don't know if Tsuna will start with that or able to absorb the attack that that 5x stronger nor we know if Ichigo will use getsuga immediately. Any Ichigo's attack will be deadly for Tsuna.

Tsuna has precog but Ichigo has shunpo which give him a good speed amp.

Both can fly to avoid each other's ranged attack and AOE.

If their stat is similar then I vote for Tsuna, but Ichigo has large AP and Dura advantage here.

It's "who hit first scenario" that will take quite amount of assumption like: "What if Tsuna freeze Ichigo?", "What if Ichigo hit Tsuna with his 5x AP?", "What if Tsuna dodge Ichigo's attack & freeze Ichigo?", or "What if Ichigo use shunpo and use point blank getsuga tensho?" and so on.

Wew I forgot he has two shikai key in SS Arc.

Tsuna take this since Ichigo doesn't have shunpo or even getsuga here.

Ice GG.

I agree with AstralKing and Teon here. And Tsuna's hyper intuition should warn him to avoid one-shot attack fron Ichigo. Tsuna also used to beated enraged Xanxus, who should be stronger than him on raw AP (Not saying that Xanxus's AP on the same raange with Ichogo's AP, just want to point out that Tsuna used to beated someone who stronger than himon raw AP). So he has more change to win this.

Vote for Tsuna.

I believe there's 7 vote for Tsuna (HST, Astral, Litentric, Calca, Yung, Xanuxussama and me after going full Aizen mode and vote for Tsuna ovo .

Grace period.

Yup, Tsuna wins 8-0-1. Honestly, I'm glad that this one didn't fall apart into a childish screaming match. Anyway, this one can be requested, since I'm sure both profiles are locked.

Edit: Check that. Tsuna' profile actually is unlocked. So, somebody can probably just add it there once grace period's over.

when is grace period gonna be over again
I'd give it another 12 hours after Xanxus' vote. So..about three in the morning where I am.

Little late to this, but I can finally announce that the grace period is officially over. So, if someone can suggest this to the Versus Debate Additions thread, that'd be great!
