After already nearly killing Goku, thus developing an understanding of his ability. Like, he literally calls Goku stupid for trying to initiate a rematch. Before that, all Tao knew was that Goku was pummeling the RR.
Even if this is the case, 2 minutes is closer to being accurate to the story than 19 minutes is.

Yeah and he was surprised Goku survived a single kick in their first match, so his planned trip to kill Goku it would be even shorter than 3 seconds

Using an example or similar one someone brought up
if a guide explicitly states a characters height yet they can be calced to be shorter or taller does that immediately invalidate the guide? I think it’s quite strange to use a fan calc where the author doesn’t think about that feat specifically being that fast and what can be chalked up to be inconsistencies over official statements.

As long as the official speed matches with the events of the manga (i.e. the travel and kill fitting in the time limit) then I'm fine with using it before our calc.

Why is .2 seconds used for Goku’s jumping feat?

I don't think you can tell if Goku dodged the bullet after its fired so the supersonic calc shouldn't be used tbh

Krillin, with his superhuman abilities, could perform complex combat maneuvers with Jackie Chun within 0.2 seconds. That, and he and Goku consistently completely blitz their competitors, to the point of being thought to have vanished entirely.

The actions preformed in the .2 second is no where compared to the distance travelled in that jump.
That krillin and Goku were also superior to the one’s that did the jumping feat too right?
I honestly don’t think that timeframe works.

Nothing in the manga implies he moved after the bullet was fired either. The default assumption would be that its aim-dodging

The fact that he was caught off-guard by her firing of her gun is proof. And again, supporting evidence proves this.

He saw the gun, he was not "off-guard". And if you're taking the anime as evidence, you should be using the anime's feat to calc it instead since its the anime's feat

Here's Launch pulling out the gun before she fires it in the anime, Goku would have obviously seen that. If we don't use the anime, this scan does not prove he did not expect the gun either. Its not like the timeframe between her pulling out the gun and fully pulling the trigger is non existent. The only way for him to have been caught off guard by this is if Launch did all of that faster than Goku could see despite being right beside her

Or, if Goku is a pure-hearted child that has yet to register the possibility of being shot at at 4:30 in the morning by a woman that lives with him in Roshi's place.
He is looking down at where the bullet landed, where he would've been shot, not following the trajectory of the bullet or even Launch herself.
He was not expecting it.
