Top 5 Most Skilled Characters For Every Tier 5

Alright, that makes sense. I'll try to run through what skill feats I can remember.

Beginning of series John Carter masters all styles of Martian swordsmanship in 2 days, nails a foe in the head with a rifle from two miles away before talking about how he was always better with a sword than with a gun, and redirects an onslaught of attacks from a particularly skilled Green while blinded by a flash of light.

Red Martians are skilled enough to fight in close quarters as a group, so well that it's as though they share a single mind and is almost enough to overwhelm BoS Carter until he manages to maneuver them to a more advantageous location.

Mid series Carter, while half blind with exhaustion and nearly dead of blood loss, fights a Thern for several minutes and quickly overwhelms him despite the Thern having the advantage of a hidden firearm. He later does the same even more effectively against a thern that caught him by surprise, and did so with nothing but muscle memory.

Carthoris parkours around the room while easily out-swordfighting a whole group of Black Martians while making jokes and not paying attention.

Solan moves his sword with such fluid grace that his fighting style resembles outright magic and makes the finest swordsmen on Mars and Earth look like monkeys with sticks in comparison.

Well, I'll concede that the scaling chain is better.

I guess it does depend a lot on what we place importance on.

Either way, I feel like both Batman and John have more to offer than anything Eternal Warrior has done, despite the experience advantage.

I'll probably just put DC characters and John Carter characters in the same slot

At this point I am leaning towards the DC folks being more widely skilled. John Carter is pretty strictly focused on swordsmanship.

They are able to fight entire yakuza sub-families, all of whom are amazing fighters and martial artists. They can copy any martial arts after seeing it once. Heck, it doesn't even need to be martial arts. Majima saw a dude breakdancing on the street and used the copied movements to form the second best fighting style in the game. Some of the Yakuza higher ups have been fighting for more than 30-40 years and they can still beat them. They can take on hordes of heavily armed ex-military mercenaries with their bare fists.

As a sample, here's Majima vs Ibuchi where in the fight intro, they showcase their skills with knives and guns respectively. And Majima would only be the 3rd best fighter in the Yakuza series, and Ibuchi technically a mid tier at best. Ibuchi is voiced by DIO's VA so he will be top tier in my heart.

So they'd probably be above Grappler Baki lower tiers (pretty sure the only one who's really worth talking about is Baki himself)

As far as Corvo goes...

Daud was skilled enough with a knife that he could kill entire squadrons of highly-trained soldiers with no training, just raw talent.

He can take out incredibly powerful magic users with nothing but skill, as well as out-fence clockwork soldiers that wield four blades and have omnidirectional attack detection.

He was considered the second best assassin in the world until Corvo became one, and is superior to a league of elite assassins superior to the Whalers, who have the ability to infiltrate even the most heavily-guarded fortresses and assassinate any noble or warrior.

It's stated numerous times in-game that he knows he stands no chance against Corvo if he fights him, and in fact feels that he's fated to die once they've become enemies.

Even when he has a dream vision of fighting Corvo as an equal, he acknowledges that the dream doesn't even come close to what the real Corvo would be capable of, even while his sword attacks are casually being parried by Corvo's bare hands, and laughs off the idea of defeating him, even in said dream, as wishful thinking.

There's also the fact that the late Empress had more faith in Corvo than her entire military when it came to protecting her.

Let's see.

The only feat I remember was the buildup punch, which would be more of an AP feat. What kinds of skill feats does he have?

Just of the top of my head, disregarding any pure military strategy feats or tactical manipulation, his tactics and skill allowed him to put up a solid fight against Adremlech, a veteran spear wielding demon at the top of his clan and a master combatant, and shattering his legendary ice armor that even Adremlech himself likely couldn't and dealing damaging blows as a kid despite the fact that Adremlech had such a massive AP advantage the shockwaves from a attack that missed him were early fatal to him, and was talented enough copy any demonic magic technique he saw. After that point he was trained for several decades by the strongest demon warriors in multiple clans, each of whom were likely already centuries old with that much experience (as before his societal reforms demons were basically constantly fighting) and reaching their level, and was capable of defeating Alciel, who was a legendary tactical genius in his own right and who was capable of overpowering people comparable to Maou with his telekinesis alone.

If tactics counts for skill then Rinko Gadou should probably have a spot in 7-C for being able to outskill and defeat Keira Georgievna Gurdjieva and her entire elite unit despite the unit being a hive mind and sharing a consciousness along with all the skill and experience they had.

Hiiragi Seijuurou should have the skill of everyone he absorbed, along with their intelligence. He has mastered every Kantan dream ability and can use them to their fullest. He also memorized and perfectly replicated the techniques of a master martial artist who had 8000 years of experience.

Hiiragi Yoshiya also has 10000 years of combat experience and skill in both keys

Undying City Master is ancient even to beings who are trillions of years old of combat experience and is rather gifted in creating techniques which use the Laws. This one can take a spot until someone better comes.

In that case the fight against Adremlech would probably count, as well as the magic learning feats, but if it's tactics as in battle strategies vs fighting styles, then I don't think it would count. Outsmarting someone and outskilling someone are two very different things.

Hiiragi and Rinko can probably be added in 7-C. And I'm gonna take the plunge and put them above Ikki just to see what happens.

?

Like, beating someone via superior fighting style would count, but just battle tactics wouldn't.

E.g. The SMT protags are both immensely skilled weapon masters and brilliant tactical commanders, but only the former would count toward this list.

Actually, Paul, what specific feats of skill to the Masada characters have in 7-C? Experience statements only get you so far, as we've learned.

Well I gave some of Seijuurou's skill things

Rinko is described as a one woman army due to gaining the skill and experience of an entire military unit (keep in mind this is a senshinkan military unit) within a mere 6 months out of the over 100 years worth of kantan cycles they took. Thanks to this she is able to perfectly create new tactics or traps in the middle of combat to adapt to any situation.

This allowed her to match Keira, despite the later being extremely skilled herself to the point where she is capable of taking note of her foes' center of gravity and the centrifugal force of their attacks to predict and dodge them mid attack. Keira also had her elite unit the Steel Fang which is composed of thousands of elite soldiers. These soldiers are considered elite by Senshinkan standards where it is common to have people with 10k years of combat experience engrained into them. The entire unit also has the ability to share their mind, experiences and consciousness allowing them to perfectly function as a single unit and Rinko alone was able to match them.

Yoshiya's skill is basically just scaling to his dad, the other members of Senshinkan like Rinko, or Amakasu

Until the rakudai revisions that is

Also Ikki won't lose his 7-C key, so no need to remove him. Pretty sure even without the feats that are gonna be added, no one can outdo him even now.

How about we never argue him again and the nightmare can finally stop?

And I thought someone had already argued Jin before? Or did you both miss it?

They did, I just don't remember it and if possible I'd rather not hunt through the previous threads again, since I'll have to leave soon.

I've literally saved a copy of your Ikki Sandbox just for how insane it is
That'll be Ikki's new profile, so don't worry about saving it. You'll enjoy seeing it once it's applied.
