Been wanting to do this for a while now. I just hope it can get concluded, what with the current trend of absurd hax battles...

Rules
Speed: Equal

Place: Sakaar, Contest of Champions

Mind set: Thor needs to beat Kenpachi to get back to Asgard. Kenpachi thinks Thor's the big shot in this Colosseum he breaks into and considers a joke

Victory: Death or KO

Versions: Soul Society Kenpachi with Nozarashi. Pre-Hela Thor (means with feats from Thor 1 to Ragnarok until he encounters Hela) with Mjolnir.

Well, Thor seems to start with a good AP advantage for being a bit more of 2x stronger, But Ken's amplifications with Reiryoku, Reiatsu and other stuff should allow him to easily close the gap.

Thor has better varierity in terms of range arsenal with weather powers and Mjolnir (HE could use the "Dropping Hammer" technique), but then Ken beats him again with spatial cutting techniques.

In skill I'm not sure, Thor has some good experience with somehow similar to Ken, but then I don't kind of experience Zaraki has by this momment.

I'm leaning to Kenpachi, the scenario is sort of "Thor has this, but Ken counter with this".
 
Nozarashi, as in the katana. Because I felt like saying "Kenpachi with his sword" is somewhat awkward when we all know its name.
 
Nozarashi is Kenpachi shikai and you need to spell the Zanpakutō name to use shikai, he doesn't have shikai at this point and Kenpachi will use his Zanpakutō by default lel.
 
Yeah, cause the reason why new say kenpachi can use startial cutting is because he think kenny can use Nozarashi..I give the cooment on this match later.
 
Thor is in the 40 Megaton ballpark.

Zaraki is 11 Megatons with his eyepatch on. Don't know what kind of AP boost he gets with it off. But I think at least double is a safe bet. And then there's Ryodan, which is a further boost of at least double. That'd put him in the same league as Thor. Probably...

Put me down as inconclusive for now.

That would actually be a hilarious spectacle.
 
I gotta agree with UMR, putting the hammer down on Ken would be the perfect way to immobilize him and from what I see he has no ways around it, plus Thor's superior experience arguably gives him a nice edge. Not to mention Thor at minimum is at least 3x stronger until Ken pulls off the eye patch which he won't do in character too soon, and he loves to get hit.

Going with Thor.
